I walked to tent 66. She looked startled when I entered. But she quickly put on a sweet smile. I knew she must have heard from Quincy that I was too poor for a membership card, which explained her surprise. To scout the layout, I played along and had sex with her in the tent. By evening, the campfire party started. Quincy spotted me and batted her eyes before running over to grab my arm. "Why haven't you visited us for so long?" I glanced at her. "Been busy with work."

“Told you. You’ve been gone forever!” “I really missed out on a lot, huh?” I murmured, mostly to myself. A part of me felt sad. I missed all these changes—missed so many fiestas, birthdays, random family dinners. But more than anything, I was just… thankful. Thankful that I finally had the chance to see them now. Even if it’s just for a month… I was going to make every second count. I’m going to make the most out of this summer. When we reached home, the familiar iron gates of our house slowly creaked open as Papa pressed the remote. He parked the SUV in front of the house, and I stepped out slowly, letting my gaze linger on the house in front of me.

Lulu's face slightly turns into a pinky tone. "Well, I never regret it." Candace giggles as blushing like her besty. Lulu bites her lips, tries to quench her laughter. "Me, neither." *** The year they had graduated from high school, they had attended a summer camp together. The camp had been organized by the Lindsay College where Candace was accepted. There were both high school and college students, the goal was getting acquainted. The camping was supposed to be a 'Hello College' activity, but for those teenagers who had been struggling to be accepted to a good university, it had turned into a stress-relieving opportunity.

I complained, hesitating to come out of the car. "Come on." Darren urged me to go with him, and since we were already there, I had no choice. I followed Darren's lead. The campsite had a vast expanse of land. Remains of fun activities can be seen everywhere. I bet the kids love to spend their summer here. Darren stopped by the lake. There were ruined kayaks, and the boat sank in the corner. And the zip line was still attached to a pole from the tower over fifteen feet away from the lake.

Summer Love. I didn't think the summer part mattered. Sure we did fall in love during the summer. That doesn't mean I didn't expect it to last past that. It didn't matter to me that he was Nathan Kalis's school-bad boy. To me, he was just Nathan. The man couldn't go more than ten minutes before demanding a kiss. (Anastasia's POV) The surrounding was buzzing with energy and excitement. We were told that the Camp will officially start tonight. Until then, we had to set our tents. We could look around if we wanted to. The boys and girls were separated. So, Caleb, Damian, and Adam had to go to the other side of the river which flowed from a huge waterfall in the middle of the clearing. There was a bridge connecting both sides. It looked pretty cool. When the guys left, Caleb didn't even take a glance at me which makes me feel more annoyed and frustrated.

Summer The heat of the production lights was the first thing that shocked Summer. The second was the sheer volume of people crammed into the university’s outdoor courtyard. It was Wednesday afternoon, the peak of campus activity, and HypeTV had set up a "live broadcast interview" segment under the guise of an ESPN campus highlight feature. In reality, it was a carefully choreographed stage play. Summer stood just outside the perimeter of the cameras, her hands shoved deep into her denim jacket pockets. Her palms were sweating.

"You always do two." She felt, more than saw, the expression. "I'll take the Aldenmoor call," he said, in the tone of someone declining to examine a thing too closely. She hid the thing that happened at the corner of her mouth. They went back to the document. June's first Saturday was the pack summer gathering. She had never attended one as an adult — the last summer gathering she remembered was when she was eleven, a hazy impression of the long light and the smell of food and the particular noise of a community in its best mood. She'd been gone for the last two.

And on the wall… Photographs. Dozens of them. Her feet slowed.
