From Shadows, Emerging Tides

From Shadows, Emerging Tides

"My arms are tired." Melody giggles as Gage chuckles, their laughter mingling in the summer air. "We can rest for a little while," he says, wiping his brow. "What do you two think of kayaking? Pretty fun, right?" It's a glorious day in late July, the kind where the sun feels like a warm embrace rather than an assault. Sweat beads on Gage's forehead and trickles down his temples, but he doesn't mind—the exertion feels good, honest. Melody fans herself with her hand, feeling the pleasant flush of warmth spreading across her cheeks. The children, however, seem unfazed by the heat, their youthful energy still bubbling beneath the surface despite the morning's adventure.

The Fontaines of Hollywood series: The Thrill of Temptation

The Fontaines of Hollywood series: The Thrill of Temptation

I hate summer. Don't get me wrong - I love sunshine. I love fireflies and clear, starry nights and drinking iced tea in the shade. I'm not usually a grouch, I swear. But people who believe that's what summer is - the iced tea and fireflies and all that - haven't experienced a real Atlanta summer. Or at least they haven't inherited the overactive sweat glands that I did. Thank you, Blankenship genes.

Goodbye, Summer: Love Has Come and Gone

Goodbye, Summer: Love Has Come and Gone

The head of the orphanage found me in the middle of the scorching summer, which was why he named me Theros Sommar. When Daisy learned of it, she then said that moving forward, the summer solstice every year would be my birthday. She then prepared birthday gifts for me and even baked a birthday cake for me to celebrate. Ever since my gastric bleeding the other day, she had forbidden me from drinking again. But the mood back then had been just right, so I pestered her until she gave in and allowed me to drink some red wine. One thing led to another, and that night, she finally gave herself wholly to me.

The Perfect Husband (Lee Brothers #1)

The Perfect Husband (Lee Brothers #1)

She pointed to Mom, Dad, Love, and me. Poppy glanced at us briefly, but Hope quickly pulled her attention back. “On that note, I’ve got a pick-up line for you, Poppy.” Hope grinned before continuing, “Are you an angel? Because with you, I’ve found HOPE for a brighter tomorrow, FAITH that true love exists, and a LOVE that makes every day worth living.” “Hey! What about SUMMER?” Summer protested, looking annoyed. “Alright, take two. Pops, are you an angel? Because with you, I feel HOPE in every sunrise, FAITH in every warm breeze, and LOVE as endless as the SUMMER days.”

Summer Waves

Summer Waves

Sieghal replied, still with eyes closed. He could feel the grass beneath him. While Helbert felt the strong wind on his face, Sieghal found peace in the rustling grass. As the sun set, he realized that darkness and emptiness were closing in, just like when he left Theo and his dad to go far away from the shoreline.

The Billionaire Vampire's Darling

The Billionaire Vampire's Darling

He’s also a vampire. “Summer’s coming,” said Sant with infectious joy. The enthusiasm in his words caught Vero’s attention. “Summer?” she asked. “But I see no signs of summer.” “The weather in this city is unpredictable, but those of us who have lived here for a long time can feel its every change. And believe me when I say that it’s summer soon,” said Sant proudly. “Summer...” Jia muttered. “That means Duradel will be celebrating, right? Like we do every year.”

TRAPPED BY THE BILLIONAIRE CEO

TRAPPED BY THE BILLIONAIRE CEO

I wish I could remember that first day, First hour, first moment of your meeting me, If bright or dim the season, it might be Summer or Winter for aught I can say; So unrecorded did it slip away, So blind was I to see and to foresee, So dull to mark the budding of my tree That would not blossom yet for many a May. If only I could recollect it, such A day of days! I let it come and go As traceless as a thaw of bygone snow; It seemed to mean so little, meant so much;

Falling for My Enemy Alpha

Falling for My Enemy Alpha

"Hmmm. This tastes like the end of summer." She rose up to meet me, "In two weeks, we shall bid summer farewell to welcome winter and her blasting winds." I took another bite of the bread, picking a strawberry in the other hand. "I'll miss summer. It's my favorite time of the year." I stretched my hand to the open window, dramatizing. "Oh summer, my sweet sweet summer."

Demon Kings Queen (book two)

Demon Kings Queen (book two)

The eyes were full of hope and determination, and the only thing that he could remember before he woke up. A chill shoot through his body as he shivered in his bed. It's only the first week of Spring, maybe he shouldn't be sleeping with his shirt off just yet, but the anticipation for summer was simply killing him. Eating him from the side. The son of Helios loved summer. Obviously. He was used to the heat and warmth. A smile curled his lips as he was aware that the summer was going to be a good one—he can feel it maybe because most of his mischievous and loud half-siblings were gone back home to their mother's place.

Just want to cry. It’s been months since part 1 ended and all we have is 3 chapters of part 2 so far. I’ll keep checking back though, won’t start reading it until it’s almost finished, can’t stand being left hanging on a chapter and San’s books are all so awesome you get addicted.
