I don't even think the main cast is that big, but everyone's personality gets painted with such a broad brush. There's Yuuya, obviously. The bullied kid who finds the magic door. Then it's the whole assembly of people who see how strong he gets and immediately become his allies or rivals. The principal from his old school, the classmate who used to torment him, they're all basically plot devices to show off Yuuya's new power level. Even the girls, like Kaori and the elf girl from the other world, their whole purpose is to admire him or need rescuing. They're not so much characters as they are signposts on Yuuya's road from zero to hero.

I stuck with it for a few volumes because the power fantasy can be fun in a brain-off kind of way, but you won't find nuanced relationships here. The author's priority is setting up situations where Yuuya can be cool, and the other characters exist to enable that. If you're looking for deep character studies, this isn't the series. It's pure wish fulfillment, and the cast is designed to serve that specific flavor of satisfaction.
