It is a perfect summer evening with a cool breeze blowing. As we enter the treeline, my entire body breaks out in goosebumps, my senses are heightened, and Morganite is on alert, fighting to shift… the air becoming even thicker. “O, he's back.” Xander says with a grin on his face. “Who?” ‘Timika, we need to shift …NOW!!’ Morganite claws in my mind, and my body begins to tremble…

He says as he pulls a package out of his bag and hands it to me. "Oh, what is it?" I remove the cloth that covers the package, it is a very old book with a blood red cover and despite the years is still in good condition. I caress the cover of the book, on it we can read the pack of the twilight. "This is a very old book, the family tree of our pack. " I opened the book, my fingers shaking. I had been wanting to know everything about this community that piques my curiosity for so long, I couldn't believe it.

It would be so amazing. “Let’s go enjoy the rest of the party.” Selena said pulling me along with her. She took me to meet so many people that I could barely catch my breath. By the end of an hour, my feet hurt, my stomach ached from hunger and there was a blur of faces in my head. I finally found an opportunity to escape so I grabbed a plate of meat skewers and a cup of soda and escaped outside. The sky was dark and stars were glistering. I love the night sky which was why I always liked to run when it was dark. I found a rock and sat on it. From there I could see the lights in the small county. It was an amazing sight here I have to say. It was the highlight of my evening.

AXEL’S POV: Orion had never looked more beautiful. The beach shimmered beneath the golden spill of twilight, soft waves caressing the shore like a lullaby. A stretch of ivory sand had been transformed into something sacred—our altar of renewal. Tall, curved archways framed the ocean view. Silk chiffon in pale champagne rippled in the breeze like whispers from the gods, woven with orchids, sunroses, and baby’s breath. Glass lanterns floated midair, enchanted by Kaius himself, each shining with soft golden flames.

For now, this was enough. We stayed for the hour until sunset, laying together as colors deepened around us, shifting from gold to fiery orange, then to a rich, burning crimson. Finally, the sun slipped away, leaving behind a trail of twilight. Stars winked into existence, misty at first, then bolder as the last remnants of sunlight vanished. Terri let out a sad sigh. I couldn’t help but compare what had just unfolded to my time with her. It was a metaphor. So beautiful, mystical, magical, but over in just a blink.

Chapter 10 The screeching sound of the cotton blinds getting opened woke Vivian woke up from her sleep, and the sunlight that attacked her was unexpected. It looked like the intensity of the sun had tripled, only to blind her. "Who got the window opened? Get them closed!", She groaned in misery as she shielded her eyes from the sun with her heavy hands. The intensity of the light was adding more pangs to her throbbing headache. She'd forgotten that she usually had really hurtful hangovers after a night of drinking.

I stood on the sidewalk watching her drive off. I still wonder how she knew the general manager of the hotel but I decided to follow her instructions instead of pondering the day away. In front of me was a tall building of average height. The glass was glistening in the shining sun but the gold-plated name was very much visible Twilight Hotel. The bell boys looked expensive in their uniform and I felt out of place and intimidated. I stepped inside after verifying my identity and stepped inside the grand hotel with marble shining floors, a grand staircase with a red carpet and gold railings, magnificent chandeliers hanging about, and creative paintings. The hotel was a mixture of modern and V

The golden band, adorned with a radiant gemstone, shimmered like a captured sunbeam against the backdrop of the seaside evening. In the gentle twilight, the ring seemed to exude its own ethereal luminescence, creating a kaleidoscope of glimmers that danced and twinkled with each movement of Gia's hand. The setting sun's last rays caught the facets of the gem, causing it to sparkle with a myriad of colors, casting a breathtaking spectacle across the gathering. As Gia proudly showcased the ring, the guests were captivated by its beauty. In an instant, sparkling snowflakes floated from her fingertips, drifting onto the branches, each one glowing with an icy, enchanted light. With a gentle flick, tendrils of blue and silver light wove through the branches, making them gleam as if kissed by a starlit frost.
