Liam I hear Sam's heavy, tired footsteps making his way to my home office. He opens the door and shuts it quietly behind him before collapsing into the chair across from my desk. He runs both hands down his face and sighs heavily. "She's finally asleep." He says tiredly. "I figured." I respond. "The stabbing pain in my chest has lulled to a dull ache." "Yeah I felt it too." "You did?" I ask. "Yeah. I think the whole pack did to a certain extent. She doesn't know she can broadcast her emotions to us, let alone how to control it." He answers. I sigh myself and look over at my exhausted beta.

The ground under his feet shot out from underneath him, shattering into multiple pieces. A few of the pieces flew towards but fortunately, Ying yang used his telekinesis to stop the pieces from hitting us. " Okay guys, Spill !” Energygrid said as Ying yang helped her up. ” We told you about the Buffalo soldier with the gravity fetish! Now, what’s the story with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Slumdog Electrioner over there? ” " The big guy calls himself Stronghold ” War zone said. ” As you can see, he’s a hybrid with super strength and invulnerability. ”

Zayn remained silent. The Queen continued to speak, “The invincibilis state is already a breakthrough to nature’s limits upon humanity. There are billions of people in this world but only a few invincibilis fighters. On the other hand, a Level-3 invincibilis fighter is a godlike superhuman. This person was a walking human shield even if they still bled, and Zen was slightly horrified. Zen knew them. He watched how merciless they were during the first battle royale. The “Shield” pretended to be weak, but when his enemies came for the kill, he would turn the tables around to bash their skulls open using his reinforced skull. Now that he thought about it, Zen was in a room full of monsters. Sasha could possibly be the only one who was human enough to be considered normal. Akiko sensed Zen’s thoughts and blinked. She lowered her voice and whispered to him as the human shield demonstrated his abilities.

After three long minutes, a figure stood tall over the battlefield. The upper torso of a faceless humanoid stood before the combatants, its height reaching the 80 meters, but with a relatively short arm reach. Pulsing red lights accompanied the soft sound of a beating heart in the chest of the creature. Its skin was smooth and had a brown color, coupled with a featureless face.

“Why? What happened?” “That wretched good for nothing Ripper!” Dad cursed. “What did he do this time around?” I asked. “He attacked our betas and most of them are severely injured and undergoing critical treatments, including beta Harrison, our Alpha’s best friend.” “Oh!” I exclaimed, acting like I didn’t know. “That’s not good at all.” Mum snarled. “How I wish Alpha Dexter would kill off that murderous bastard before he ruins everything for us.” “Alpha Dexter?” I scoffed, remembering his shameful act of cowardice and betrayal.

“Very true. I was still pretty young, not yet Alpha of my pack, during that battle, so I never really got to know him, but I remember my parents said he was a good guy. They always appreciated everything he and the other bear shifters did to help us against the vamps.” “Forgive me, Alpha, I forgot that you would have been old enough to fight in that battle. Would you like to join us for the meeting later this morning after Leader Bruno arrives?” I ask. I truly did forget. Despite the salt and pepper grey hair, Connor’s movie star looks make him seem ageless in a way that had me thinking he would have still been just a touch too young to fight in that battle.

Rachel laughed. "Shut up." Dax demanded. "Oh, does you little human not know what we are? Who is he?" Rachel asked. "You guys were right, she is crazy! Bat shit crazy!" Brady yelled. Rachel looks at him and grins. Her eyes change and glow yellow and then her teeth elongate. Brady stares at her shocked but doesn't move. "Outside!! Now! Get her out!" Dax yelled. The guys drag her outside. Dax walks over to check on his daughter. She's sleeping and breathing normally. She looks unharmed.

My weightless body was dragged across the ruined city and down into an underground fortress. The place was brightly lit and buzzing with life. A massive party was underway, thrown to celebrate Beckett's recovery. In an apocalypse ravaged by zombie attacks, they had somehow managed to find colorful ribbons, balloons, and a massive cake. Dad stood on a platform, beaming as he raised his glass to the crowd. "A toast to our hero and the future of humanity, Beckett! We have successfully extracted a perfect antibody from his blood." The crowd erupted into deafening cheers.
