We built the fire back up and sat around it, the three of us, while Seraphine talked. Cain was not a vampire. He predated vampires. Predated werewolves. Predated almost every supernatural classification that currently existed. He was something older, something that had existed in the time before the supernatural world developed the structures and governance and factions it currently used to manage itself.

Next destination was Luvina. Stephanie stood not breathing as she was given her final examination. “You will be able to fight” the healer said and she wasn’t sure if she should be excited about that or not. It was war, so Supernaturals like her were going to die. Even she stood a chance of dying and there was also the problem. But she hadn’t been able to talk to her father that she knew the Supernatural that were waging war on them. “I see you’re finally better” Skye said.

Even though he knows Kyra is not his mate, he still has feelings for her and it still hurts him to see Tyler and Kyra together. Cael and Hugo are together at headquarters to inform Cain of their encounter with the demon that day. They left the others at home. While sitting on the sofa, they face Cain, Luke, and Beatrix. Because Tyler and Josh were secretive, Cael made up another story to explain to his father what had happened. “Are you telling us now, Cael, there are fallen angels here in the human world. They are the destroyer and the angel of death?” Cain asked. “Yes, dad. You heard it right,” said Cael.

Cath said and Susannah laughed at her. " Come one, that's why you're a hero". Susannah said and Cath sighed. " A hero without a single power". Cath said and Susannah moved closer to her. She lay her right on her shoulder. " Cath, your powers are beyond the supernatural. You even know more than us. You're more sensitive to things than us that are supernatural". Susannah said and Cath smiled. " Thank you, Susannah". Cath appreciated her. " So, when do you plan to confess your feelings to Carson?". Susannah asked Cath and Cath was astonished to hear her say that.

Aitan stated. "Sure. I understand that." Zylo answered then Aitan went home with Alexis. Zylo sighed then put his hand on his face because this is the first time that he learned something about Alexis' real form. "I had no idea that she's a fucking demon. I can't believe this." He stated then scratched his hair in frustration. "I have no idea what's happening but, I have to protect her whatever happens while she's here in the campus." He stated then went home.

Another gulp of wine went down my throat, the kick harsh, just like the thorny realities of this place, this place I hated most.
