They had to understand the nature of this entity, its weaknesses, and its intentions before they could devise a plan to combat it. Their investigations led them to old legends, whispered tales of a forgotten entity, a creature of darkness that drew its power from the very earth itself. The stories spoke of a malevolent spirit, bound to this place by an ancient curse, a force capable of corrupting the land and twisting the natural order. These were not mere myths; they were warnings, echoes of a long-forgotten threat that had now reemerged.

I said, and he squinted his eyebrows. “What? This doesn`t make sense. How my parents being human summarized what the fuck happened to me, and why I woke up here in the middle of this clearing.” He said, and I took a deep breath. “Let me explain something not many know…” I sighed. “A couple of supernaturals most likely will have supernatural offspring, but in rare cases, they just get human offspring,” I said, and he squinted his eyebrows. “We call them recessive supernaturals,” I explained.

"Depends on the wolves, really. These ones? Traditional. Bound to cultures, customs, rituals, and strict hierarchy. Honestly, they cling to traditions more than any other supernatural creature I know. It's their method of staying grounded and hidden." That word—supernatural—makes me freeze, the last vestiges of my human denial crumbling away. “Wait. What other supernatural creatures? I thought we were the big secret.” "Hardly." Her mental tone is one of indulgent superiority. "Vampires. Witches. Fae. Demons, if you want to be dramatic. The things you always thought were fairy tales? They’re very real. They don't all live in a secret world; they just live in their world, which often overlaps

It was so absurd to even admit to myself. Sighing deeply, I let my fingers roam on the keypad and typed 'Super Strength'. Articles and articles about energy drinks, diet plans, and gym recommendations popped up. Scrolling down, I caught an article about 'Supernatural Beings And Their Powers.' I clicked on it and let the words register in my mind. There were mentions of werewolves, vampires, lycans, mermaids, sirens, warlocks, and whatnot. But in the same article, it was also written that all these creatures are fictional and there was no evident proof to suggest that they exist in reality.

And that was without stopping to keep up appearances. Daemons were the supernaturals I knew the least about. They generally kept to their territory, deserts and the plains. I know it was whispered that they were fallen angels from a religion long since dead since the Fall. But since they were made up by ifrits, djinn, and some higher level spiritual entities, it had been decided that they were simply another race, much like Fae and Weres. Once worshiped as gods, and then forgotten until the Fall brought them forward again.

“I need you to get rid of these negative entities from my room and whenever they return I want to be able to call you for help.” “And what? You expect me to do this for the rest of your measly life?” He scoffed. It didn’t seem like an appealing deal to him. Since she wasn’t being bothered by demons, it wouldn’t be so easy as to simply send out a command to the demons in his jurisdiction so that they wouldn’t bother her. Instead it was entities. Entities belonged to various species and various breeds. Some were intelligent and capable of conversation whereas others were stupid and mindlessly wandered in search of food. “What do you want in return? I’ll give you what I can.”

My bare feet sank into the soft carpet as I slowly walked toward him, careful not to make a sound or wake him. Up close, he was even more breathtaking. The top few buttons of his black shirt were undone, revealing the hard, tanned expanse of his collarbone and chest. His lips looked incredibly soft, almost swollen, and his long, dark eyelashes cast shadows on his cheekbones. Is he actually real? I wondered, my mind spinning. Is he a human, or did a god take pity on me and send an angel down to earth? Mesmerized, I slowly raised my hand. I extended my index finger, intending to just lightly touch the bridge of his straight nose to see if he was made of flesh and bone.

He placed a hand on her thigh, squeezing it gently and she settled her hand over his. "This is what I know." he began, "The common Supernatural species known to humanity are the Werewolves, Vampires and Witches. We are the only three races that don't mind being out in the open, however, since we're vastly different, a treaty had been created between the Supernatural beings and humankind. "Though it was just the three main races, the treaty states that it classified all Supernatural beings, but the humans outside the white house wouldn't have a single clue how deep our world is." he ran his fingers through his hair, letting it slowly fall back into place.

Slowly but surely, superstitions were being rooted out and people stopped believing in the magical. Ever since then, the powerful gods and demons of the soul realm went into hiding. Now lacking the large amount of power that usually sustains them, these entities needed to conserve the power they have, lest they get absorbed by other opportunistic entities. Some stayed in the open and continued to openly make pacts and contracts with the humans of Earth for every scrap of belief they could get. These ones usually did not last or were very weak entities.

Cassia's heart pounded as she strained her senses, trying to pierce through the darkness that enveloped them like a suffocating shroud. "What do you mean, something?" Elysia's voice quivered with a mixture of fear and determination. Ezra's spectral form flickered, struggling to maintain its ethereal presence amidst the encroaching shadows. "There are ancient entities at work here," he explained, his voice barely audible over the howling wind. "Beings that seek to harness the power of the abyss."
