Supernatural Writing Prompts Novels & Stories

Late one summer night, as they tuned into frequencies unknown, the friends—Jake, Emily, Noah, and Lily—accidentally opened a portal to the Upside Realms, a parallel dimension dripping with eerie echoes of their own world. Unbeknownst to them, the Upside Realms harbored dark entities hungry for the energy of the living. As strange occurrences plagued Everwood—disappearing pets, flickering streetlights, and odd markings etched on the town's trees—the friends realized they were at the center of a supernatural storm.

It was important that we embraced each other. On a side note: Mom had convinced Angel to help plan a Unity Day put on by the Supernatural Council. Mom had also begun working on another idea of my epic mate. Supernatural conferences where leaders and members of the supernatural community could go, connect, and address issues that impacted the supernatural community as a whole. I was working at the dining room table and paused when I heard a door slamming in the bedroom, catching my attention.

My supernatural aspects were having their own internal debate: Witch aspect: Analyze the magical signatures. Wolf aspect: Be cautious. Protect the pack. Vampire aspect: There's more to this story. Demon aspect: Calculate every possible scenario. Angel aspect: Trust in a higher purpose. “Someone wants our attention,” I muttered. “But only on their terms.” Zane nodded. “Sounds like every supernatural negotiation ever.” The mysterious message was more than just words. It was a communication that seemed to exist in some impossible space between invitation and threat. The energy around it was complex — layers of protection, hints of familiar supernatural signatures, but nothing definitive.

The truth had to come out, no matter how difficult it may be for her to hear. I took a deep breath, my eyes locking onto hers, "Eden, I need to tell you something. Something that you may find hard to believe." Eden's brows furrowed as she leaned in, her heart racing with anticipation. "Okay, tell me," she said. I let out a sigh, the weight of my world on my shoulders. "I am sure you know that we are not the only ones out there. There are other supernaturals, like vampires, wolves and witches. We also have the deadly hunters and, unfortunately, we've been in a feud with them for generations."

said Clay. Jenna sighed, “There is nothing in any of our history books about this war. Supernaturals are just make-believe.” Clay nodded, “But you came from a different timeline, so maybe you’re the key to changing everything.” "In books, supernaturals are scary. Vampires kill humans and drink their blood, dragons are ferocious, werewolves are feared, and witches are deemed crazy.” Jenna said with a look of worry on her face. Both men smiled, “So most of that is true, but we all follow rules and a code.”

She declared with a smile positively. “The thing is supernaturals are real”. He paused a bit to see her reaction, probably to see her go crazy or hysterical or probably laugh to his face and call him crazy but surprisingly, none of that came. “The powerful races supernatural world consists of Werewolves, vampires, witches and demons. But the weaker races consists of Sirens, banshees, faes, fairys, mermaids and even elves.” She nods.

I told him about how I found everyone I was looking for. “The weird thing is that I had many supernaturals come to find me. They asked if what the two of us were doing is true and when I told them yes they just gave me their DNA and blood.” I tell him. “Yeah, I have had a handful just randomly show up the last week and do the same thing. Seems like what we are doing is spreading around the supernatural community.” He explains. “I just hope that the conspirators don't find out,” I comment.

“Wow, you seem like you have an interesting setup. I thought you worked out of the station, though.” “Well, we get a lot of criticism about our work, so we keep the bulk of it away from prying eyes.” “So, a lot of occult stuff and UFOs?” “Along with sightings and encounters with legendary creatures.” “Really like what? Vampires and dragons?” “. Here’s your burger. As for this, we’re thinking, magical satanic rituals and such.” “Satan, eh? That’s not in my range of experience. You’re talking demon summoning and things like that?”

"The problem, Sophie, is that you have the chance of changing what will happen in the future if you tell us what you know. Like I said, I can tell a dozen stories. You need to give me a reason why I should run your story over any other, or why I should even run it at all. There are millions of humans every day who pretend to be vampires, demons, and other supernatural beings. They dress up, wear fangs, and some even drink blood. All over the internet, people claim they’ve seen vampires, know demons, or are werewolves. Why is that?"

It was so absurd to even admit to myself. Sighing deeply, I let my fingers roam on the keypad and typed 'Super Strength'. Articles and articles about energy drinks, diet plans, and gym recommendations popped up. Scrolling down, I caught an article about 'Supernatural Beings And Their Powers.' I clicked on it and let the words register in my mind. There were mentions of werewolves, vampires, lycans, mermaids, sirens, warlocks, and whatnot. But in the same article, it was also written that all these creatures are fictional and there was no evident proof to suggest that they exist in reality.
