It was all around me, but I couldn't see anyone around. As I followed the alluring scent, I could feel my senses heightening with each step. The aroma was so captivating, it was like nothing I had ever smelled before. It was a blend of sweetness, with a hint of spice, and it had a floral undertone that was both refreshing and enticing.

The scent of chocolate mousse with salted caramel and mochi hit my nostrils, awakening the bugs in my stomach. Returning to the counter, I meticulously arranged the delectable treats, but then, an intoxicating fragrance wafted through the air, surpassing even the allure of our finest confections and the enchantment of Alan's cologne. I hear her gasp as she prepares to push me away, but as she leans her head back and catches a hint of my cologne, she eases into me. The scent of sweet vanilla and hints of honey attacks my senses. It knocks my breath away, and beyond my control, I press my head even closer to hers. Her scent is beyond intoxicating; I want more of her. And as I listen, I hear her soft rapid breaths singing like music in my ear. There are tingles of pleasure running down my spine, something beyond what I have ever experienced with a woman before.

That was all I could say because then, all I could feel were her soft lips against mine. Her lips! And it felt so fucking nice. I caught a whiff of her scent, she smelt like cake and cinnamon. Not her regular scent. She didn't even have one. Where the heck had she been? Subconsciously, my hand wrapped around her waist as I pulled her closer and went to another kiss, a deeper kiss. My lips moved against hers gently yet roughly, letting out every freaking feeling I had about everything, ranging from frustration to anger then confusion. Her hands tightened around my neck as she rose to her toes to give more into the kiss. I let the bottle drop, using my now free hand to grab her face.

He can smell her over the acrid scent of cigarette smoke. Over the copper bite of blood and the bitter tang of sweat. Over the many and varied perfumes and colognes which have been assaulting his senses for the past two hours. Her scent cuts through it all. Clean and fresh, almost sweet, with a hint of ozone for good measure. Reminds him of what used to be. Of possibilities. Makes him angry, then has him drowning in a sea of down-feather memories.
