The Sweetest Monster

The Sweetest Monster

She went quiet. "I remember it." "What do you remember?" Her eyes moved away from mine. "Nothing specific." "Ava." "Dahlia, why are you asking?" I smiled. "No reason." She stared at me for another second. Then left. The moment the door closed, my smile disappeared. Ava remembered something. I knew it. She just didn't know that she remembered. Memory was strange. Sometimes, the mind buried things so deeply that people convinced themselves they were gone. But nothing was ever really gone.

MY SWEETEST MISTAKE

MY SWEETEST MISTAKE

Where she had lost her heart. Coming here was the worst sort of torture mingled with the sweetest of memories. They had been connected then, and even though she hadn’t been able to name the things he’d made her feel, it was where she’d fallen in love with him. Maxim opened the door and took her into the sun-bathed room. There was no question of what he had wanted her to see. It was there, in the middle of the room, lit up by the incandescent natural light.

Story line is great, character development is always spot on. I won’t gush about this one, it’s good, to be fair, but not my favorite from ES. The turmoil in this one is much tamer than what some of her other books have. Was I sad at some points? Yes, but not properly gutted. Call me a sadist. Lol

This one was so good. I was certain that I wouldn't like the ending because the book is so short. I thought it would feel incomplete but the author did an amazing job of closing off the book. I feel so filled and satisfied with the story after reading it...

The Blood Moon Ascendance

The Blood Moon Ascendance

His voice, soft and soothing, washed over me like a gentle breeze, calming the storms within. I remembered how he'd doodle in the dirt, creating intricate patterns that only he could possibly understand. The memory flooded my senses like a sudden rush of warmth, enveloping me in its tender embrace as though it had been waiting patiently in the wings, eager to be relived once more. It was a memory etched in the deepest recesses of my mind, a precious gemstone nestled amidst the rubble of forgotten days, waiting to be unearthed by the gentle touch of remembrance.

The Alpha King's Saving Angel

The Alpha King's Saving Angel

It was truly beautiful as memories drifted over me like a tide I couldn’t hold back. “I begged her to go to the doctor. Every day, I asked her,” I finally got over my lips after I managed to take a steadying breath. “But she always shrugged me off, said it was nothing to worry about.” My memories took me back to the happiest time in my life. When I would walk into the kitchen filled with the sweetest scent of baked goods. Her laughter, soft and rich, had once been the melody of my life. I could still hear it if I tried hard enough. She’d been my rock, my everything. And I’d watched her slip through my fingers, helpless to stop it...

Sold To The Alpha

Sold To The Alpha

The familiar taste triggered a fond memory from the past, a memory she hadn't revisited in years. "It seems like I remember this cake," Irene muttered as she recalled the familiar taste of the cake on her palate. Irene savored the delicious chocolate cake, a sudden rush of memories flooded her mind. She remembered a similar cake, rich and decadent, that Adam had brought to her when she was bedridden with a fever. It was a sweet gesture that had touched her deeply, especially during a time when their interactions had been nothing short of professional. The vivid recollection left her momentarily stunned, her heart racing as she contemplated the significance of this seemingly simple dessert.

His Lethal Love

His Lethal Love

“We’re here for us.” His lips curled in a slight smile as he looked at me. “Come here…” he cupped my face. “Because I know we have no future. I’m making this beautiful memory. At least I can keep these memories forever to myself.” “It’s the beautiful memories that hurt the most,” I said with an empty laugh. ********

I really miss him calling me sunshine. Why do I still remember you, Levi? When you already forget me. I erased your memory but forgot to erase mine. I did not erase my memory intentionally. It's just I don't want to forget you. I don't want to forget the joy of love. I want to remember you. Remember what you look like. No matter if it's been a thousand or ten thousand years. Whether you still remember me or not. I'll remember you always. You are my beautiful mistake. That I never want it to fade from my mind and heart. I want to keep you safe in my heart's secret locker. So that I can cherish you all my life. I can't be with you. But I can keep you, your beautiful smile, and all the beautifu

Only consumption. Let him in. The thought is horrifying. Suicidal. Necessary. I don’t fight the breach. I open the door. Not to the prison. To the memory . The deepest vault. Not of pain. Of before . Sunlight through oak leaves. His laugh. Rough hands gentle on my skin. The smell of earth and him. Love. I wrap the psychic invitation in it. Like poisonous honey. Remember? Remember us?
