I glanced his way then looked at Sylar before I breathed in his face quickly. "Please stop being angry at me," I whined to him, laying down as I stopped tugging at his blanket. He started to cry then and curled up tightly. I whimpered as I watched him then licked his cheek. "Sylar, what did I do wrong?" I whimpered to him. "Silas," he whined. "He doesn't love me anymore." I stopped then and pulled back, sitting up.

Maybe it’s purely hormonal and hangover combined. “I’ll apologize to your friend and make good. I’ll play nice. Is that what you want? Will that make you stop crying?” Jyeon’s voice lowers as he whispers into my ear and starts gently swaying me, patting my back with one hand and still stroking my head to soothe me. Being soft and caring, I can’t formulate words when I don’t even know why I’m crying.

I finally hear his voice, “Scarlett... Butterfly... I struggle against his hold and as my emotions win, I burst into tears as I hit the sides of my fists against his chest sobbing, “I can’t do it again… I can’t… I can’t do it again…”

“I’ll just fetch my sword.” He waited for Aktaeon to leave before returning to the girl, only to find her sobbing quietly inside the crate. It caught him off guard, a crease forming between his brows. This was the first time he’d seen a sylph cry. Granted, she was young, probably the same age as he was when he’d first slain a middling beast. But as far as he knew, younger sylphs were supposed to be more devoid of any emotion. “You’re a strange sylph,” he muttered.
