I was in no mood dissecting his vague statement, so I changed the topic, “How was your first shift?”
“Why,” He asks jokingly, “Planning on shifting now?”
I frown, “Maybe. I just want to be prepared over what I should expect.”
“It hurt like hell,” He starts. “Bones moved to places they have no business in being. My spine cracked, some bones elongated, some broke. Canines extended on my teeth. A whole lot of anatomical changes that shouldn’t even be possible. Either way it happened. It hurt at first, but you get used to it. It’s different when you shift, you’re more in touch with your wolf then. The heightened senses you have now will double, no, triple, when you shift.”
