Yannie Ace Ruiz Time passed quickly until all our classes were over. I was arranging my things when my cellphone rang, signaling an incoming call. At first, I thought it was Josh, but then I remembered he mentioned having something to do and would chat with me later. I took my cellphone from my skirt pocket and saw that Ate Aika was calling me. I quickly answered. "I'm here at the mall, Yannie," Ate Aika greeted.

“Hello?” “Akala ko ba tatawagan mo ako kapag lunch ka na?” Muntik ko nang matampal ang noo ko. Nakalimutan ko! Sinilip ko ang orasan sa cellphone. May klase siya ng ganitong oras. Paano niya ako natatawagan? “Axl, nagkausap na tayo na h’wag mo akong tatawagan kapag may klase-”

I grab my bag from the passenger seat and grab my phone. Tay, it reads on the screen. I wipe my tears and answer the phone. "Hello" "Are you okay? Your voice sounds strange" he asks and I take a deep breath. "Yes, I'm fine. Why did you call?"I changed the subject. "Oh, I wanted to see if you are on your way back, I finished cooking," he informs. "Oh, I didn't realize that I have been gone that long. I'm just finishing up something and I will be there in half an hour"I tell Tay and buckle up.

She said in a sharp tone and waited for her to reply. “Hello, what happened to your phone, I have been trying to reach you for a while now, but it's not going through.” She said, and Ava only took a deep breath as she tilted her head away slowly. “I don't know. My phone could be out of service, perhaps. I just wanted to call you. Mika, I am not fine at all.” She said, trying to fight the tears that threatened to escape her eyes, but she could not as she sniffed.

I picked up my phone. We need to talk. Tonight. I found something.

I mushed dreamily. The memories of what transpired between us in the room couldn't stop playing through my head, but it soon did due to the unexpected blaring of my cell phone. “Now who the f*** could that possibly be?” I let out a groan as I dipped my hand into the purse, reaching for my cell phone. I had a look at the caller ID only to find out it was Tikka who's calling. Gosh…!

I asked no one in particular,as I took up the phone, and glanced at the caller's ID. "What happened to your phone? I have been trying to reach you for days now, but it never connects. I was already on my way there right now." I spoke up immediately and I noticed it was the guard I have been trying to reach since. "I'm sorry sir, but I really don't know what happened to my phone since all these days that it just suddenly went off, but I just got a new one today." He said, while I just swallowed hard, and sighed softly.

Pero si Jodi. Huminga ako ng malalim at kinuha ang aking cellphone. "Jodi, are you there?" paghahanap ko sa kaniya. "Can we talk, pls?" paghingi ko ng permiso niya. "I have to tell you something." pag-amin ko. "Alam mo ba andaming nangyari ngayong araw. Gusto mo bang malaman?" pag-alok ko sa kaniya ng hindi siya sumasagot.

I said to her. "Don't mention it. Have a good night rest," Tessa said to me. "Same to you," I said to her in reply before she hung up the call. Some minutes after discussing with Tessa, an idea suddenly came to my mind. Reaching out for my phone, I immediately searched for a contact and placed a call across the phone number, and just as I had expected, the call was picked up after some minutes of ringing. "Hi Adrian, how are you doing?" I asked Adrian who was the person I had called.

After ten minutes I walked downstairs. I remembered how Aaron and me were playful every time in dining. We were always at each others throat. I smiled remembering it. My phone ringed. As soon as I saw the name I rejected it. The caller ID showed again. Ticking Bomb 🤯 I rejected again. Ticking Bomb 🤯 Where are you? Why are you not answering my call? Baby..tell me what's wrong?
