This was the wind beast. The wind beast had a huge lion's head and a tiger's body. It was covered with green scales and had four powerful-looking claws. A majestic aura enveloped the beast that even though it was just at the late stage of the innate level, it was obvious from its aura that it was no ordinary beast at that level. The wind beast narrowed its eyes as it measured Fane. It seemed to be trying to determine if this prey was dangerous. Fane pulled out his gray sword from Mustard Seed with familiarity.

She saw a humongous fox with nine tails fighting a bunch of half-human and half cow. "Minotaur?" She murmured. She furrowed her eyebrows when she saw the nine-tailed fox was not giving its best to fight. It seemed that it was protecting something from the minotaur. She also noticed that the nine-tailed fox had a big would on the side. She felt pity for the nine-tailed fox but she still needs to eradicate it because maybe it will impose a threat to humanity. So she decided to eradicate both of them but she stopped when she saw a tiny pup behind the nine-tailed fox. Then she understood that the nine-tailed fox was a mother and it was just protecting its pup.

Tears overflowed my eyes. “Then tell me who’s hurting you, Spade.” The sudden tone change startled me. “I don’t know. A monster.” I covered my face. “I’m scared. Please, come and help me.” “Do you want this to end?” The voice hardened. “Yes.” “Then answer me honestly, Spade. No more lying.” She sounded angry now. “I swear I’m not lying. It’s a man without a face. A tall man with a tattoo of a snake on his right hand. He’s scary. His eyes are red. He’s a monster. Please, help me.”

Shit shit shit. I wait no longer - I bolt forward, my tail hung low between my back legs, hairs on my back standing up, ears pushing down to my head. I dig my nails deep in the ground, trying to push forward as fast as I can. I know what happens to a wolf that gets caught in another pack's territory. Death, most likely.

The beast groans, inducing terror in me, wrecking my cool. Why does he seem so curious?

The beast did not care about her spoon story. It came at her again. Both claws swiping. Its spiked tail whipping around from the other side, trying to catch her in the back. The tail had barbs on it, sharp and curved, the kind that would tear flesh on the way out. Kaelithra ducked under the claws. She felt the wind of them passing over her head. Then she jumped over the tail, tucking her knees to her chest, feeling the barbs brush against the soles of her borrowed boots.

I swallowed the heavy pressure the beast pushed against my chest, and answered, “Have you shown me all of you, Little One?” Piper blinked. “There isn’t much to me, Zander.” I chuckled. “I don’t think that’s true, but I’ll go first. I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.” She laughed, her voice echoed around us. “I don’t turn into a beast, and you’ve seen me without makeup, maybe I’ll tell you my deepest darkest secret one day.” “Deal,” I said. The beast shoved against me, pushing against my bones and frame, sending me to all fours. It only took seconds now, my body had become accustomed to the shift and welcomed it.

He told his director while taking off his gloves. "Everyone, lets rapid up and get moving. We don’t have all night. I have to get home to my daughter and read some bedtime stories to her. Don’t drag on! Move your weak legs faster! Alvin and Derrie! Do a patrol around the area and report back in fifteen minutes.” Joe shouted with power in his voice.
