The room was filled with an air of anticipation, and the pack members sat in respectful silence, waiting for their Alpha to address them. Xavier stepped forward, his presence commanding attention. "My beloved pack," he began, "I stand before you today to share a significant decision—one that marks a new era for the Royal Pack. After centuries of leading this pack, I believe it's time for a new Alpha to take the reins." A murmur of curiosity rippled through the room, but it quickly quieted as Xavier continued, "I have full faith in my son, Dominique. He has grown into a remarkable individual, and I believe he will make an exceptional Alpha King."

On getting to the border two days ago, I stumbled on something. No, someone. He was so small,I would have easily mistaken him for a maimed or dead animal. Luckily for me, I took a closer look. Unluckily , he turned out to be the nine year old son of the Alpha who had been kidnapped a whole back. Unfortunately, the Alpha king was out for blood and had sworn to go on a killing spree until the perpetrator was brought to book.

He said, letting out a cruel laugh, his eyes glinting with contempt. “I am still you mate!” She exclaimed, her chest heaving with anger and sadness. Kaden sneered at her, his voice dripping with disgust, “Well I, Alpha Kaden, Alpha of the Lykai Pack, reject you, Maddie Elyria as my mate.” He declared. Maddie felt a searing pain in her chest as she let out a blood-curdling scream. Without showing any remorse, Kaden strode over to her and grasped her wrist, his grip like a vice. He raised her wrist into his mouth and sank his teeth into her skin, drawing blood before spitting it out in disgust.

At the same time, I couldn't stop thinking about Madeline. Out of the three of them, she still came out on top. Once I became Alpha King, I could have my people kill the monster, take Madeline, and lock her in my basement. People didn't have to know. My warriors already knew what to do. I had brought in several Alphas, and I'd already spoken to them about the plan. They had prepared heavy weapons to attack the cabin. After today's ceremony, an army would be waiting at a separate location, each soldier keeping an eye on the time.

Beta Lucas's voice burst into his head, frantic: "Alpha King! Where are you? You blocked the mind-link last night, the council's in an uproar! Is it an attack?" "Enough," Frederick snapped with an icy edge. He stared at the wrinkled note in his grasp, his voice laced with a predatory chill. "Find her. Turn the world upside down if you have to, but bring her to me. "She's going to learn the hard way that no one brushes off the Alpha King with a few bucks." Lucas's voice quivered, echoing the shock that rocked his core. "Brush off? With what???"

Broken only by her ragged breathing. Her heart pounded violently as she turned back to the Alpha King. “They took someone,” she said, her voice shaking. “We have to go after them—now.” His expression darkened. Deadly. “I know.” But something in his eyes— Something cold and calculating— Told her this was worse than she understood. Her chest tightened. “Who was it?” she asked. A pause. Too long. Then— His voice dropped. “They didn’t just take a person.” Her stomach dropped.
