The shadow recoiled, its tendrils snapping away from us as if it were in pain. “Who are you?” I asked, my voice trembling. “I am someone who knows what the shadow truly is,” the figure said. “And I will stop it—before it destroys everything.” With that, the light engulfed us, and the shadow shrieked, its form twisting and writhing in agony. The air seemed to crack with power, and for a moment, I thought the world itself might shatter. The woman, now pale and trembling, turned and fled, disappearing into the darkness of the ruins.

The once-familiar forest now seemed like a labyrinth of uncertainty, every step she took shrouded in a foreboding gloom. "Come out, Shadowmaster!" Claire's voice echoed through the eerie silence, her determination cutting through the oppressive atmosphere. "Show yourself!" A deep, menacing laughter resonated from the darkness, sending shivers down Claire's spine. And then, in a flicker of movement, he appeared. Shadowmaster, a formidable wolf with jet-black fur that seemed to absorb what little light remained. "You have walked straight into my realm, little fire leader," Shadowmaster taunted, his voice dripping with malevolence. "You thought you could outsmart me, but now you are trapped."

The shadow’s form expanded, feeding off the instability. “They shaped him to contain me,” it snarled. “But they underestimated fracture.” The burning city began collapsing again, faster now. Wolves screamed as timelines overlapped. Different eras bled into each other. Armored warriors. Lab-grown hybrids. Children with silver eyes. The loop was unraveling. I grabbed Zara’s hand tightly. “Listen to me,” I said urgently. “If what it’s saying is true” “It is,” the shadow interrupted. I ignored it.
