Beware of the Immortals

Beware of the Immortals

According to my father, these books were a gift from the Supreme Being to his grandchildren. In the pavilion of the Evermore temple, there is a gigantic and magical library, called "The Library of Destiny". That library contains thousands of books. These books are known as "Books of Destiny", since each Immortal that is born, a book lights up and omnisciently connects itself to this child's life thread. We study the reality of our destiny book since we're kids, we study about every single thing. The world, the races, the cultures, the kingdoms, the history of each place, the geography, and the science.

The Elven Princess

The Elven Princess

Aelanor cried. "Princess, if I may," Nimuel explained, "immortality refers to the act of living forever under the influence of ordinary factors, not withstanding external elements. In a way that the immortal creatures don't get sick or age when they live in their own worlds, the one created exclusively for them. It is when an outside factor is included in the equation, that we risk death, or illness, and this pestilence that is affecting the immortal worlds."

How to kill an immortal wolf

How to kill an immortal wolf

Seraphine felt the bond in her chest pulse painfully. The Immortal whispered quietly beside her. “It’s starting.” “What is?” He looked at the widening tear in the sky. “The First Immortal is preparing the doorway.” Seraphine’s breath caught. “The one from the stories?” “The one who created beings like me.” The courtyard fell silent. Seraphine’s voice came out barely above a whisper. “And he’s on the other side of that?” The Immortal nodded once. “Yes.” The shadow behind the Veil shifted again. Bigger this time.

The Immortal's Diary

The Immortal's Diary

Her taupe colored hair was blown by the gentle breeze, her emerald eyes that stare at me and those red lips I long to kiss again. I kissed her forehead. Talia smiled at us and left. I lean my forehead on hers and smiled. “Do you accept immortality?” She smiled, “I will accept it as long as I am with you.” I kissed her before we walked and disappear to the talls wheat grass.

Immortal Cravings

Immortal Cravings

“What the fuck is going on?” “Language Marley.” Absinthe warned, and she flipped him off, turning her head to Othello. “Who is it? Why does it seem like I killed a ghost?” “Because you did.” I said, standing up, walking to the shelf and I pulled out a large Tome. Walking back to the table, I dropped it in front of Marley, sending dust flying. She coughed and shot a glaring look at me, making me grin, which sent a flush across her cheeks and down into her blouse. Concentrate dude… I turned and pointed at the book. “This tome is full of our Elders—Past, present and their bloodlines. Direct descendants. This is the last edition, the newest one is in production.”

Battle of the Immortals

Battle of the Immortals

“Seriously what’s wrong with you?” “That is why I still think being immortal is a curse not a blessing. What’s the use of living for hundred or thousands of years if all you could do is watch people close to you disappear and then remember that for another decade, century or generation. It’s not like we can die whenever we want. It’s not like we can do what mortals do; suicide.”

I nodded and asked, still feeling pretty shaken up, “I want to know how you are an immortal and could still have this reaction to the poison.” “Cynthia the term immortality is not about not ever dying anymore. It just means we are able to live much more longer than a mortal. I am also vulnerable but not as much as a mortal. Whoever did this, he must have used a stronger version, enough strong to make me unconscious.” I nodded before remembering how his beast was trying to come out, “Your beast was coming out.” At this his eyes honed on my injury which his paw gave me, he recognized it instantly, he groaned and a tear escaped his eye, “I did this to you?”

The Coven of the Crow and Shadows

The Coven of the Crow and Shadows

I would have flipped my shit if he told me when I first came with him. “When I became a necromancer, I had to die, and when I brought myself back to life, I came back immortal. When you became my familiar, you also became immortal.” My eyes go wide. Okay, that’s not something I saw coming. “I know it feels overwhelming, and I should have warned you beforehand, but you were already so overwhelmed I didn’t want to push you over the edge. I know the idea of forever is intimidating. We can give up our immortality at any time and die of old age. Just remember you can still die, Ari. Immortal doesn't mean indestructible. I have to stay immortal for a bit to make sure our kids and grandkids are set

Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

Chantelle clenched her fists and called out, "Mr. Lloyd, the Elixir of Immortality belongs to you!" Andrew felt a surge of heat rise in his chest. Even he could not deny the temptation of a divine medicine that could make someone immortal. Eternal life was a temptation no human could resist. Looking at the golden teak box, he could not help but take a step forward. However, after just one step, Andrew stopped. His gaze turned to the other end of the underground palace, toward the blood-stained puppet in front of the throne. Somehow, the puppet's eyes had also turned toward Andrew, and their eyes locked.

Reynir Kjartansson
Very good story and the ending was relatively good since each part of the story give a obvious closure. The audio book is also available the whole story. Other authors should follow this example. There is nothing worse than a forced ending or a cut off story, so this story gets all stars, great job!

The Cursed Passion

The Cursed Passion

“You hurt Zach, Dean, Henry and Scar,” “Oh, they will survive. They aren't like humans who die over the littlest things. You humans are truly pathetic, can barely survive a cold . Eat.” I slowly take another bite of the food, chews then swallows. “What do you want from me?” He sneers. “It has come to my knowledge that you've been searching for me. Then, I realized I've been staying in the shadows for too long, I felt it's time to play.” he takes a sip of his coffee. “Tell me Miss Raven, do you have an idea what immortality is? Speak freely, I won't hurt Damien’s little princess,”
