I sit across from him, not right next to him yet.
Just close enough.

“I like the group,” I say.
He watches me.
“They made a group chat,” I add. “Outside the meetings.”
He leans back slightly.
“That’s good.”
“I think so,” I say. “It’s… easier. Saying things there.”
He nods and just lets me talk.
“I thought it would feel weird,” I continue. “Talking to strangers about… everything.”
