Property of the Alpha Prince

Property of the Alpha Prince

Hayden asked out of the blue. “The fish?” Asked Titan incredulously. “What are you talking about?” “Corinna found out about the Mother Beast from talking animals,” said Hayden. “Dondus,” recalled Titan. “Yes, Dondus, the owl. He was Grandmother Alma’s familiar! Dondus said he heard the Mother Beast story from a rat who heard it from a fish,” said Hayden pointedly. “But those were special animals in the marshlands and Dondus was a familiar. These are regular fishes,” reasoned Titan.

Wow this book is already pulling me in. I hope they are mates. Love all your books Joanna. In your other books we know they are mates but not in this one. Sprout sounds so cute. I love how this is a different time period and different style of story than your other books. Excited for more

Absolutely loved this journey, this story was so different and creative I loved everything about it. Just the right amount of everything without being to much, I could really see this becoming a movie.

Strange short stories

Strange short stories

But when he felt irritated, the horse cursed the boy and said, yes, that he had as much value as a pile of gold or a magic dog. The brothers weren't even so amazed that the horse spoke after what happened as a dog. Allan then asked the horse if he was incredibly fast. The horse said no. He asked if he could fly or heal. Again, the horse replied that it was just a normal talking horse. The boy questioned the horse once more about its value. The horse said he knew something worth more than any pile of gold. The three brothers moved closer to the horse to hear what it was. The horse told of a bird of fire that would bring them great riches with a single feather, and that could easily be found i

Wild Dreams [Story Collection]

Wild Dreams [Story Collection]

The single word held centuries of certainty. I swallowed hard, trying to ignore the way my body still throbbed from his tongue. The cave was surprisingly warm, lit by glowing crystals embedded in the walls and a small fire burning in a natural pit near the entrance. Thick furs—bear, wolf, something even larger—covered the floor. This was his den. I had been brought here while unconscious. Carried in those massive arms like I weighed nothing. “How did you even speak?” I breathed, mostly to myself. Legends never mentioned the Beast talking. Only that he came, chose, and took.

The Black Wolf

The Black Wolf

One of them wore tiny spectacles balanced precariously on its snout, the other was swishing its tail with impatience. “I told you the clouds were forming from the east, not the north!” one brayed indignantly. “And I told you, Cedric, you wouldn't know a rain sign if it kicked you in the hoof!” I stared. Scoffed softly. This place had officially tipped into the realm of the impossible. Every animal we passed was not just aware, but keenly intelligent. A squirrel trailed beside us on her hind legs, her fluffy tail twitching. Behind her, three tiny squirrel children chattered away, one stopping to poke curiously at a glowing mushroom.

A Billionaire's Love

A Billionaire's Love

The twins spread out their supplies—construction paper, markers, glue, and magazines to cut pictures from—while I sat between them, ready to assist. “Mommy, do dolphins talk to each other?” Paris asked, holding up a picture she had cut out. “They do, in a way,” I said, reaching for her tablet to pull up some quick facts. “They use clicks, whistles, and other sounds to communicate.” “That’s so cool!” she exclaimed, scribbling the information onto her poster. “What about tigers?” Aiden chimed in. “Do they talk too?” “Well, tigers roar, growl, and chuff,” I explained. “It’s their way of expressing themselves.”

The Deaf She-wolf: Kaya

The Deaf She-wolf: Kaya

They creeped her out. "We have them in the Artic, but I have always hated them. They are so tiny and live off blood; I don't like them." She blinked as she looked at a spider. "What is your favorite animal?" "You are, of course." She linked, smiling at me. "I meant here?" "Oh, I liked the Gorillas." "And why is that?" "The sign said they can learn sign language, and it occurred to me that I could communicate with them. It also means they are the smartest animal in here." I nodded.

Shading Black

Shading Black

The storyteller stopped singing and called the children to order. “Which story would you like to hear?” he asked in a playful tone. Many of the children called the names of their favourite animals: the tortoise, dog, lion, and the hen were among the few animals mentioned. In the end, all of them could not agree on a particular animal, and this caused a huge misunderstanding in the gathering. One of the boys stood up and said he wanted to hear a story about the dog. Another, moved by the boy’s courage, stood up and said he wanted to hear a story about the wise tortoise. The first boy got annoyed and was about to slap the other boy when the storyteller intervened and told both of them to sit d

Falling for my Fae Captor

Falling for my Fae Captor

That wasn't fair, she wasn't completely erratic, she was just strange and confusing, and everything she did and said left me more confused than before. "The animals. They talk about stuff like what they want to eat for the winter when their friends are coming over, what they do during the day. Can't you hear it? I mean, birds prefer to just whistle and sing, but sometimes they talk too." Sage studied me, trying to see if I was testing her with this revelation or not. "I think you're out of your mind, but alright," I shrugged. I wasn't going to press the issue.

My Stepfather Is My Mate

My Stepfather Is My Mate

"It's because they're secretly the world's philosophers, contemplating the mysteries of the universe between their many naps." His playful tales continued, each more fantastical than the last. He spun stories of talking squirrels who held clandestine debates in the treetops, of clouds that stored the blueprints for the world's oddest inventions, and even of a legendary potato that could grant wishes, but only if you spoke to it in rhymes. With each nonsensical story, my anxiety further receded, replaced by a sense of wonder and amusement. Sebastian's unwavering presence, his tender embrace, and his fanciful storytelling formed a sanctuary in the heart of the forest.

Wow so many updates should I be happy or surprised? I think both. I love the way this story going on... The hunters, Elves, and wolves. It's so much of my type with way too much of fantasy characters. And I love that author is thinking about side characters as well. The 18+ part is just so ............

This book started off good but took off in another direction, like it was a completely different book. Some of the chapters don’t even match up with what’s going on or with the characters in the book. I’ve read this far just to see how it ends but the story keeps changing.I’m done wasting $

Master Of Desires

Master Of Desires

"You know, sometimes I'm a little impressed by the evolution of certain animals..." Valentina rambling, walking up to half a meter to the street. "For example, I never thought that piranhas could spend so much time out of the water" their eyes rose from their feet to Kendall's face. "And can't they really? I made a face, considering if the offense also fit me. Kendall opened an arrogant smile. “ Really... No one ever thought that whales could speak, and you've been talking since you were little, right?
