THE NIGHT MY MATE BURNED ME ALIVE

THE NIGHT MY MATE BURNED ME ALIVE

As though someone had spent centuries erasing them from the world. My frustration finally boiled over. I slammed a heavy volume shut and immediately winced at the noise. The sharp crack echoed through the library. Something fluttered loose from between the pages. I frowned and reached for it. The parchment was old enough to crumble beneath careless fingers. Its edges were yellowed and brittle, and most of the ink had faded beyond recognition. Except for one image. The moment I saw it, every muscle in my body locked. A dragon stared back at me. Not a drawing that resembled the creature from my dreams.

The Hated Mate (Lycan and his Lover Book 2)

Anna tries to read it but it is written in strange symbols, almost an alien language to her. “Only a dragon can read this,” Lavi mutters. “This is an ancient language of the Dragons known as Raegonion. It is not easily understandable but Dragons used it to communicate with each other. No other scriptures on the walls are written in this language except this one. Someone in Ghi’or might have knowledge about it or was a Dragon. This temple pre-dates the Great War, after all.” “What does this say?” Anna asks. “It is saying that by turning the dial, we can enter the library,” he says. He searches the wall until he comes across a small dial. Turning the dial, he steps back.

Whoa tae tea. You are outdoing yourself in this book. Loving the book so far and the interactions between the ML and FL. They are so feisty together during this “hate” phase. I’m excited for more background and how they start to fall in love. Read this book pls, it’s so good. Writing is superb.

A wonderful companion to it’s predecesor. The story is a fantasy dark romance but in a good way. It’s done so well even Shakespeare would approve lol it’s full of hate love and adventure. Watch out Lord of the rings you have competition with this wonderful writer.

anced herself from me. I have this burning need inside me to always be close to her or touching her. That’s how I kept Maxim calm and myself. She let go of my hands and stood up from the bed clothing herself in black shorts and matching tank top. I was amazed still that she had such a gift. I got up from the bed and went to stand beside her as she quickly clothed me again in dark jeans and a black tee shirt. She didn’t bother with shoes. “Come with me Selwyn and I will tell you everything about having a dragon mate.” She said as she took my hand again in her warm hand and we walked down to the library. The mansion itself was impressive but I didn’t pay it that much attention. My eyes stayed

The Crimson Grimalkin - Book 5

I take a breath quickly going over everything, trying to see if there was something I was missing or forgot to tell her. A vision of the library Althea took us down to where the mirror was hidden away, came to life behind my eyes. “The library-“ I whisper over the phone “Something about the library it just so…” “Can you describe it to me?” Lamia asks. “Huge, never-ending, old with rows upon rows of shelves full of old books. A fireplace with a stone hearth. Two leather wingback chairs and an antique table sat between them.” “Anything seem out of place?” Lamia’s tone held a waiver that was unlike her.

I absolutely love this book, actually, the whole series! I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that this series should not only be published in hardcover but transformed into either an epic movie or miniseries! I would definitely buy DVDs!! You have an amazing imagination and a gift for being an author!

I really enjoyed this series. Many books on this platform have similar stories, which gets boring really fast. This book series kept me entertained the whole time. It had the perfect balance of romance and action. I enjoyed getting to know each character in more detail as each book was added.

Sired To The Phoenix Prince Of Darkness

Most of the other books in the library were ancient, brown and huge, but these looked magical. The first one she grabbed was blue, with the pages sparkly and thick. As she opened it, she saw that it was a book for water lilies. She didn’t even know those things existed. It fascinated her that there were actually small water creatures that lived in lakes and had powers. She wanted to sit and read the entire thing, but she knew she couldn’t. The other book she grabbed was about dragons. It had everything from the bloodline that formed them, to the very thing that could destroy them all.

She dumped the stack on our table with a thud that echoed through the quiet library, earning us a stern look from the librarian at the nearby reference desk. “That’s quite a collection you’ve got there,” Elijah laughed. “Do you think you can read all of these before they’re due back?” Thea nodded enthusiastically. “Uh-huh. And this one,” she held up a colorful picture book about a dragon, “is for you to read to me tonight.” “Well, I guess I don’t have much of a choice,” Elijah said, ruffling her hair affectionately. He took my hand and tucked one of the books we’d been reading under his arm. “Let’s go check these out, shall we?”

he questions. I nod my head. "Yes," I say again. "I've always loved reading." "Book," he says in a gruff voice. "Liffatin. Can you repeat that back to me?"Liffatin," I repeat. "That's a beautiful word. You know, back in my kingdom there was a little shop called a library and it harbored many, many books. Some were sad, some were happy, some were full of action and tales of courageous princes and princesses, fictional tales of fire-breathing dragons and fairies and demons. A book is where imagination takes flight."

Jade moved to sit on the bed, with her legs crossed. “What exactly is a Dragon’s mate?” “Basically, it is just like a husband and wife. It is a Dragon’s way of getting married. Except a little different. You see when a Dragon finds his mate, there is no other female for him. They are extremely loyal. In fact, it is physically impossible for a Dragon to be with anyone other than their mate.” Staring at her blankly, I waited for her to continue explaining it to me.

Long Ning'er changed her expression again as she turned and looked at Long Xianlun. "What is it?" Long Ning'er asked seriously. "Teacher, that woman named Li Wei is very smart. She hasn't left the library for two months and has read hundreds of our ancient books. Is that okay?" Long Xianlun asked Long Ning'er. "Hmm... well, for now, there won't be any problems with him. As you know, even though he can read and remember everything now, when he leaves the dragon realm later, everything will be lost and only a few memories will remain!" Long Ning'er explained to Long Xianlun to dispel his meaningless fears. The rules of their dragon realm had been established long ago, and no one could break th

Frequently Asked Questions

One of my favorite cozy reads to pull out when I want something sweet and a little mischievous is 'The Library Dragon'. It’s a picture-book kind of tale that feels like a warm, slightly dusty library afternoon made into a story. The basic plot centers on a dragon who has taken up residence in the town library and become, in effect, its overzealous guardian. Instead of hoarding gold, this dragon hoards silence and rules: no giggling, no running, no talking, and certainly no bookmarks left in the wrong place. Kids stop coming, whispers thin out, and the library’s heart seems to shrink.

The turning point is wonderfully simple and human — some brave child (or a group of kids, depending on the retelling) refuses to let the library die of boredom. They sneak in, bring stories and noise, and slowly wake something else in the dragon: curiosity, memory, and a latent love of tales. The dragon discovers that books aren’t possessions to guard from people; they’re treasures to share. Through playful scenes and often a bit of comic tension — imagine a dragon trying to stifle laughter at a silly book — the creature learns to welcome readers. The library blossoms back into life as the dragon swaps strict rules for storytime, becoming more protector than prison warden.

What I adore about the book isn’t just the surface plot but the gentle messages woven through it: how fear and loneliness can make someone clutch too tightly, how communities revive places by showing up, and how books are bridges between generations. If you like stories where a grumpy guardian gets softened by children and stories themselves, this one feels like a hug. It also pairs nicely with 'The Reluctant Dragon' if you like dragons who turn out kinder than they first appear — and it’s a great read-aloud for library story hours because kids love the role-reversal and the idea that reading can literally warm a heart.
