The Devil's Broken Doll

The Devil's Broken Doll

(Adelaide) Arkael smiled wide. "My favourite kind of story." He stepped beside her, carefully lifting one of the smaller volumes. "This one." He opened the cover. The moment the first page turned, Adelaide gasped. An entire paper forest rose from the book. Delicate trees unfolded themselves from the parchment, their branches twisting high above tiny cottages nestled amongst their roots. A paper fox no larger than her thumb peered out from beneath one tree while dozens of impossibly small birds seemed frozen in flight between the branches.

Rejecting Mr Alpha

Rejecting Mr Alpha

Alpha Aidan explained as Archer and I joined the group of people huddled around the desk, whilst Darren hurriedly flipped through. “Here it is! The Tale of The Flesh Eaters, written by Arthur Bartley. It is said that Arthur saw these creatures one day which inspired the book.” Darren explained with a smile standing back so we all could see the story he was very proud to find, I mean this was only further validating the claims he’s been making.

Party Animals

“You fucked with the right one, Elijah.” {Elijah} The Night Before I watched from the window as Zoe walked up and down the street, calling for poor English. “Your Mommy looks really upset. You think you’ll be ready to go back home tomorrow?” I asked English as I scratched behind his ears. He yipped a tiny bark and rolled over on his back so that I could deliver the belly scratches that he loved. “I guess I’ll bring you back home tomorrow after work and tell her that someone brought you in.”

Shifted Fate: The Alpha Begs Me Back

Shifted Fate: The Alpha Begs Me Back

As I walked out, I could feel his eyes burning a hole into my back. *** “The fly ran away in fear of the frog, who ran from the cat, who ran from the dog. The dog ran away, in fear of the pig, who ran from the cow, she was so big! The cow ran away from the fox, who ran as fast as he could in fear of the man. The man heard a thump, and away he ran! It was just a sheep, with an old tin can!” I closed the book in my lap—the twin’s favorite bedtime story I brought along so I could read to them—and said softly, “The end.”

Unmatched Wife: Not His To Claim Anymore

Unmatched Wife: Not His To Claim Anymore

Chapter 208 THEO The bedtime stories had started in the second week. I hadn't asked for them. What had happened was that Cal was sitting in the chair in the corner of my room — he had moved it from the hallway where it lived so he had somewhere to sit that wasn't the floor — and I had been reading the dinosaur book Aunt Clara had sent and he had asked what I was reading and I had shown him and he had said what's that one and I had explained about ankylosaurus and the specific features of the tail club and the arrangement of the armor plates, and then I had read him the page because it was easier than trying to remember all the words.

The Lansing House

The Lansing House

Asher He was browsing the history section in the bookstore, looking for something new to read. The boys were in the ice cream store, and he’d meet them later. He was about to give up when he turned into the children’s section and stood staring at the book in front of him. The cover had a bright yellow sun with a smiling face. A white, fluffy sheep sat on a porch that overlooked horses in a paddock. He picked it up and traced his fingers over the title of the book. The adventures of Morbid the sheep.

Animal Instinct

Animal Instinct

He can hear every little detail that was going on around him, and in a carnival, there's a lot going on. Ari was busy with her corn dog and a maxi cup of soda. She dragged him along to try everything they had to offer, every game booth, every snack, the carousel, the haunted house, like a little girl who went to the playground for the first time. She squished his frowning face, "Smile ... you look like a bored boyfriend," she laughed. He looked at her sharply, still not smiling, "It's been more than 30 minutes ... we should go."

Ok. I need to know what happens next. When can so expect book 2. I am waiting for Armando to come out of this coma and Diego and Ari life on the run has just begun. Don’t leave me hanging please. I am hooked and need the ending.

I definitely recommend this book. All the characters are really intruiging, even the antagonist. I even sympathize for him, why he became who he is now. I actually don't know who to ship: Ari&Diego, or Ari&Armand 🤭 Armand maybe a coo2x, but I want to give him the benifit of the doubt.

Alpha's Enchantress Mate

She had sneaked into the library quite a few times before to know the way around it. One after another books appeared, and finally after summoning at least twenty books, she exclaimed, “Finally!” Arthur huffed loudly and moved closer and read the title of the book, “The Bestiary.” “I have read this,” Arthur spoke without any interest. “So, can you tell me what kind of beast are we dealing with here?” Mila asked. Arthur just shrugged.

Marrying a Disabled CEO in My Sister's Place

Marrying a Disabled CEO in My Sister's Place

Alice hid a laugh, laying Millie down and tucking her between the sheets, with Hoppy by her side “Want to do the honors?” “Okay, okay…” he snorted, and Alice had to admit that it was a funny image to see that huge man, still with broad shoulders and a firm appearance despite everything that had happened to him, sitting in his wheelchair with the colorful book in her hands and an upset expression on her face “Once upon a time, there was a mother duck who was very excited about the birth of her five little eggs. One after another, they were born, cute little yellow ducklings that said quack quack...”
