Beneath the Façade

Beneath the Façade

I said, grinning from teeth to teeth like a child. We walked into the library. It looked like it had been a while, since it was in use. We went through several sections which included, finance, self-improvement, ethics, business amongst all. I caught a glimpse of a book I had been wanting to read, “Atomic Habits” by James Clear. I picked it immediately, and started going through it. After a while, I noticed I wasn't hearing any sound from the cook. I looked around and found her wiping tears off her eyes with the hem of her apron.

Accidental Bibliophiles

He lets out a frustrated sound and tips his head back, his lips moving dramatically as he silently prays for strength to deal with me. I've seen that look enough to know what it is. "Only the first night of book club is at the store. We take turns rotating every week to people's houses. They took pity on us and let us do it together." He says, showing me his sheet of paper showing what week people signed up for. I have one as well, but I just folded it and shoved it into my book not realizing what it was. "Shit, so what does that even mean?" I ask and Everett shrugs.

The 5-time Rejected Gamma & the Lycan King

The 5-time Rejected Gamma & the Lycan King

Lucianne’s eyes snapped back to Xandar’s elated lilac ones as she exclaimed in a whisper, “This is La Librairie, isn’t it? The largest bookstore in the Kingdom!” Xandar’s eyes were also shining at the sight of Lucianne’s excitement, “It is. You’ve clearly heard of it.” Her eyes continued to scan the place while she explained, “I’ve read about it and seen pictures of it in the news. But the sight is still breathtaking.” She looked at the ceiling which was said to contain engravings of reputable authors of the past. She then looked at the pillars which had the most famous quotes of each century. She then uttered, “The twenty-eight-floor building which holds every book known to Lycans, werewolv

This is such a great book you will love every book it just gets better and better! I would give it 6 Stars if it let me, it’s one of my top three favorite books. I even started looking to see if I could buy a hard cover of it.

I kept running across the book on other apps and couldn't wait to read it. Thank goodness GoodNovel finally got it so I could read it. "The 5-time Rejected Gamma & the Lycan King is must read for an amazing story for what life surprises can be. On a scale of 1 to 10, I will give it a 12.

Magnus: Dragon Prince

Magnus: Dragon Prince

Master Buckins muttered, furrowing his brow in distaste, “Well of course we do, did you now here the count of books I told you we possessed?” “Would you mind getting some to speak about those?” Rex added, winking at Lacey while Master Buckins was looking at shelves muttering. “I do not think I would like to deviate from the current lesson plan” Master Buckins responded, straightening his posture, turning back to Rex and Lacey. “I understand master librarian, you do not wish to show us something you do not have” Lacey added in sneakily. “Something we do not possess, young lady, I could show you over 30 books on creatures you would never hear or know about that reside in this library!” Master

This is actually a book! Most of the things I read on here have chapters consisting of 800 words or less This on the other hand has chapters that are 2k words on avg. plus the content is amazing. It could use a better editor cause there are a few gramatical errors, but overall, its my favorite book!

The sound of water gently lapping against the shelves provided a soothing ambiance, creating a serene atmosphere that encouraged deep contemplation and study. As they ventured deeper into the library, Tritan, Finrir, Nerissa, Madissa, Bryan, and Joe found themselves surrounded by rows upon rows of books. The sheer volume of knowledge contained within those pages was awe-inspiring. Each book seemed to hold the answers to countless mysteries, waiting to be discovered by those who sought enlightenment.

Rejected by the Prince, Claimed by the Alpha

Not home. Maybe not yet. But something closer than temporary. The fire crackled softly. Outside, darkness settled fully across the mountains. Eventually, without really planning to, Elara found herself talking. Not about councils. Not about Kael. Not even about Blackwater directly. About books. Darius glanced toward her. "Books?" She smiled faintly. "The old pack library." His expression shifted slightly. "The one you mentioned before?" She nodded. "Nobody used it." The words came more easily than she expected.

Maid At Home

Maid At Home

Mrs Smith smilingly uttered which made Samantha halt in her reading and glanced at Andrea and Lori. The two also glanced at her meaningfully before they shifted their stares on their teacher. At the Library, Albert effortlessly lifted his hand on the top shelf on the 3rd row by the window getting a new book. The signage displayed 'Public Speaking' 'Communications' and 'Psychology'. "Speak Like A Pro!" he mumbled while flipping the pages in a haste. When he was satisfied with the book he chose, he put them on the counter and showed his ID. The lady Librarian checked it and smilingly gave the book back to him.

BUT THIS ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅• IS PRESENT DAY. ANYWAYS, PLEASE ENJOY! ༻☆✫☆༺ The Goodwill library was a sanctuary of knowledge and silence. Tall wooden shelves lined the walls, filled with countless books that whispered secrets of the past and promises of the future. The soft hum of the air conditioning and the occasional rustle of pages turning created a soothing atmosphere. Students were scattered throughout the library, some hunched over their computers, others buried in textbooks, all lost in their own worlds of study and contemplation.

His Book club

His Book club

The library's usual smell of paper and dust comforted me in ways I couldn’t explain. It was quiet except for the kids in the corner who giggled over picture books. Friday mornings were always reserved for children’s reading sessions, and somehow, I’d ended up helping. It wasn’t official, not like I was a staff member in that session but Mr Benson loved how patient I was with the younger ones. Maybe it was because I knew what it was like to grow up alone, searching for comfort in words and stories. That morning, I was kneeling beside a boy with wide brown eyes, helping him sound out the words to a colorful book about animals. His little finger traced the page, and his tongue poked out in conc

The Last Dragon's Mage

The Last Dragon's Mage

After he was gone, Liana asks me whether I had any specific book in mind, and when I mentioned mages, she guided me to the last aisle. “This is the only section we have,” she murmurs, sounding almost apologetic. I plaster a small smile in reply. The library is more like a storeroom for books than anything else. It’s not big enough to fit all the books, so some are lying unattended, stacked on top of each other. She goes back to her desk while I scan the spines starting from the topmost shelf. I feel smug at seeing the not-so-good conditions of the books. Our library has red-bound books. One title catches my attention. I tip-toe and take it out.
