He looked down at her, eyes burning silver again. “I’m Kael Damaris. Alpha of the Bloodfang Pack. And you just stepped into my world, little girl.” A howl rang out, closer now. The woods vibrated with energy she couldn’t name. “You should’ve stayed on the path,” Kael growled. “But it’s too late now.” ---

Scarlet reached down, grabbed a thick handful of my hair, and yanked my head back with all her strength. "Ah!" A sharp gasp tore out of my throat as my neck snapped backwards. My eyes were forced to look straight into hers. Her face was twisted into a nasty sneer, her heavily painted eyes practically burning with hatred. Up close, her grip was so tight I felt like she was going to tear my scalp right off. "Do you think you're special?" Scarlet hissed, her ugly tone vibrating right in my face. "Do you think just because the Alpha used you for a quick massage that you're suddenly something?"

I shrugged, my smile smug and triumphant as I didn't care about Tennyson's feelings. I only cared about winning the war and keeping my packmates safe from the rogue king's attack. "Good," I said, standing up and extending my hand. "Then we have a deal." Tennyson stood up too, reluctantly taking my hand and shaking it. His grip was weak and limp, his eyes dull and defeated. I felt a surge of satisfaction, mixed with a hint of pity. I had broken the old Alpha and made him bow down to me. Except his daughter my wolf was crazy about.

“Yes, I am, and you already signed the document. You should be grateful that I still give you another option. Taming my heart would be a piece of cake to you. If you were able to tame my heart within 300 days, I will give everything you wanted to have. I won't ask for a child from you as well.” I was still surprised by what I saw but on the other hand, I found the Alpha's deal to be interesting and he was right. I should be grateful because he still gave me another option. An option that could free me. “You won't touch me in 300 days, right?” He furrowed his brows while his lips slowly formed into a smirk. I can't stop from gulping because of what he did. “It depends on how you tame my heart

Instead, she moved closer to the light switch, hoping it would reveal more of what was in the room. As she was about to switch it on, something caught her eyes. A shadow loomed on the floor, and she froze in shock. Alarick, the alpha, was on the ground, on his knees, chained on both sides of his body. He was already in his beast form, his eyes wild and his mouth foaming.

He continued scheming. "Why do you even want this?" "I miss the old Touya. That's all." He said. "You know, alphas are supposed to be elite... superior but I heard rumors about some alphas wanting to take it up the ass, are you by any chance-" "That's enough." He yelled. "Are you?" I pressed.

As my face lands face-first into the ground, I feel his body stand above me. “You’re not strong enough to win, little alpha,” he tells me. His tone found my poor attempts amusing. It’s not like I am weak, but compared to this alpha? I might as well be an omega! I push myself up from the ground, but he has had his fun with me, it seems. His larger paw pushes my head back down and his head leans down, his maw stopping right next to my ear. “You have lost, little alpha. Accept you are not strong enough to fight me,” he says, his voice full of joy. I shoot him another harsh glare but keep quiet. He gives me a wolfish grin again before he says, “no? Then you have a choice to make.”

I slid down from the mattress, my feet touching the wooden floor, and turned to face the elderly woman. Elder Miko let out a shaky breath, her voice dropping to a whisper. "He almost lost his mind without you, Tamara. In all the decades I have known him, I have never seen an Alpha unravel like that. He could not lead properly, he could barely control his temper, and he was becoming a monster that even his own warriors feared. He knew he had made a mistake, but he didn't know how to fix it."

The conduit screams. I press both hands to the earth, vision blurring. “Alpha,” I gasp. “I need you.” He steps forward immediately, presence grounding, voice firm. “Release,” he commands the land — not overriding, but guiding. Eldric moves to Maren, steadying her, murmuring reassurance. “Tavin,” the Alpha says calmly. “Step back. Now.” For a moment, I think he won’t. Then the land rejects him. Not violently — decisively.

“Thanos.” His hand abruptly choked on my neck and I instantly had trouble breathing. His eyes glinted in satisfaction with my predicament. “You may address me as ‘Alpha’ unless you want me to pull out your tongue and cut it.” His lips quirked up into a punchable smirk. “Although that would be bad for business the next time you get on your knees and pleasure our customers.” ＊＊＊＊＊＊＊ Author Note: This book will be regularly updated starting next week!
