56. An Old Friend.

CHLOE.

A full month after Lewis's funeral had passed, James and I were busy training as usual in secret in the ballroom, but my body was failing me and James wasn't happy about it….

“Come on cupcake, why are you slacking today? Don't hold back, fight me like you always do,” James encouraged me to train my best like I did but my body wasn't just cooperative.

It's like I wasn't in the mood to do any physical activity…. My body just felt tired and heavy even after 9 hours of undisturbed sleep. I felt like someone had possessed me and taken me on an unknown marathon which left me sore and tired all over…

I huffed breathlessly and sighed heavily as sweat profusely ran down my face, “Babe, I'm done for the day. I can't work out anymore…. I'm going to take a shower and rest for a bit,” I said sweetly, grabbing my towel from the floor and wiping off some sweat off my face.
