"Don't let go of this table for a second." I gripped the wood desperately, my knuckles turning stark white. The command felt like a lifeline, something solid to anchor me as everything else spun out of control. My fingers traced the carved patterns in the wood, memorizing their shape, using them to tether myself to reality. Jaxx stepped up directly behind me, his massive, heated frame completely pressing against my bare backside. He leaned down, his lips brushing against the sensitive skin of my neck, trailing slow, biting kisses all the way up to my earlobe.

The eagerness with which the woman returned his kisses encouraged Julian to let his hands start exploring. Aside from a single tie, her back was bare. He quickly deduced that she was wearing one of those shirts that have fabric only in the front, held in place with a string tied around the neck and another just below the shoulder blades. That meant no bra and probably pretty easy access to her breasts. How far would she let him go? he wondered.

Funny - despite the fact that they'd been facing each other down at gunpoint only minutes ago, they looked like a pair of brothers now, suddenly realizing their squabbling had gotten them into trouble. She took the moment to get a closer look at Tav. He had rusty brown hair with a bit of a curl to it - the sort that she suspected would go wild if he ever let it grow more than a couple of inches - and a thin layer of reddish stubble along his square chin, though it was hardly visible against the current puffy redness of his cheeks. He was slightly bigger than Xavier, slightly bulkier. Where Xavier was all lithe athleticism, Tav had a larger, squarer frame.

“Cassie, you literally screamed and hid under the blanket during the last twenty minutes.” Cassie waved a dismissive hand. “That was one time!” I snickered. “And you screamed so loud the neighbors banged on the wall.” Cassie crossed her arms. “Okay, fine. Maybe Hereditary was a little intense. Let’s go for something less terrifying this time.” Mica arched a brow. “Like what?” Cassie tapped her chin, pretending to think. Then her face lit up mischievously. “Oh! Let’s watch The Conjuring.”

"It seems a bit complicated. There was a slight pause, he continued. “I'm engaged to Isabella, but I have a child with her sister who I happen to have a one night stand with, and I just found out about it.” Isabella now knows that I had a one night stand with her sister Sharon and am caught between them. I have no idea what to do. Alex let out a long moan. "Man, that's a tough place. But let me ask you this: Who would you like to be with?” Davis halted momentarily before he could respond.

Another said Craig's eyes bulged out, and he clenched his fist. "What is her name again?" Another said. "Cathy! Yes, Cathy!" The other said they were six, Craig pushed the one that took Cathy's name to the wall, he pressed his throat, he tried to free himself but he couldn't, he did not see anything again, his eyes were clouded with blood, his fangs were longer than normal, he was looking strange yet handsome.

None of my damn bloody business. "She's to be a cheerleader or something for a tough biker. We could get an alliance fixed with the pack. It's a great one, they major in petroleum and renewable energy." All this talk sounded like blah, blah in my ears. So I just kept nodding without a proper follow-up. At least I wasn't the one he was putting up for the alliance, so it was cool. "One more thing. She stays with you. Keep her safe. Very annoying you can't be mind-linked like every other child."
