“Fine. But I have a favour to ask you. If I’m dragging myself out, you’re going to have to make it worth it.”
Melody laughed, adjusting the clutch on her shoulder. “Sure, ask away.”
“You look amazing,” Tara replied begrudgingly, glancing at the dress Melody had carefully picked out. “But that red purse has to go. It doesn’t match anything. Get rid of it, anything. I just don't want to see it.”
Melody gasped. “Girl, this purse is a gift from my dad! You can’t just say throw it away!”
Tara shook her head, smiling despite herself. “Exactly why you shouldn’t bring it. Come on, pick this black one instead. Trust me, it works.”
