She put her finger under my chin, her eyes meeting mine and she nodded, clearly proud. “You have done well, child.”
“Thank you.” I whispered, unable to look her in the eye.
“Theia,” she said coolly. “Bring in the gifts.”
My heart slammed.
Theia appeared with servants in tow, carrying boxes, polished wood, silk wrapping, metal clasps engraved with the Alpha’s sigil.
“By the Alpha’s order,” Luna Isobel continued, “these are to be presented to Lia. All of them are of his choice for you, and he wants you to have them.”
