He turns back to me, taking the glass from my hand, filling it and taking a drink. Another drink arrived, and he handed it to me. "Try that one…" He challenged me. I grinned at him and downed the contents of the glass he handed me. My tongue suddenly tingled from the taste. I heard him chuckle and held something out to me. "Here.." He rubbed a small piece of lemon on my lips, and I sucked his thumb, staring at him. Was it just the alcohol that made me do that? Or was I physically attracted to him? For a moment, everything around us stopped. Even the loud music seemed to fade away, the smoke and dim lights blurring in my vision. Then suddenly, he slowly kissed me.

Kail whispered, “Your lips taste like summer. Like the hot summer sun and the green forest before the winter comes. I find your scent and taste so exotic.” “… Summer forest? Kail?” When Silje leaned against him and asked, Kail smiled and replied, “Yeah. Lovely summer forest… I still remember the time in my summer home. The birds singing in the forest… The greenness of it all. The sound of the fresh waterfall and the scent of wildflowers.” Kail kissed her again and continued, “When summer comes, let’s go to my hytte. We will wake up to the birds singing. I want to go there with you.”

She blushes brightly, looking away. "What smells so delicious?" she questions. "Breakfast. Come and have your meal. Do you think you could sit?" I ask helping her out properly. "Of course I can. I am not an invalid," She says frowning. Lifting the tray and placing it on her thighs, I apologize. "Forgive me for even suggesting, darling. Eat up now," I order. Summer takes her time nibbling on her meal, and by the time she is done, her milk chocolate is cold and unpleasant. I heat it one more time for her.

The second half of June was suddenly struck by a heat wave completely alien to the temperate climate zone in which Damian Radosz was located. Bethany's expression froze, the joy in her eyes vanishing as sheer panic took its place. The terror she felt was laid bare in front of Mitchell, and in that moment, it looked almost comical. Though it was the height of summer, Bethany felt a chill crawl over her skin, a chill that had nothing to do with the weather. I gave it a soft lick, then closed my eyes as I wrapped my lips around the spoon, letting the sweetness fill my mouth. Cold. Sweet. And… indulgent.
