Novel & Cerita Tattoos Are Cliche

There was no chance they could figure me out but I could only be too careful. This is one of the moments that I am been grateful that I didn't join the bandwagon. Let me tell you why. You see it is common to see great men indulge in putting ink to their bodies. It was usually visuals of great battles they had won, things they held dear, even people they had lost. It would cover a great portion of their bodies, sometimes including their necks. Did I have such grand tattoos? No. It was the only Reason I could mingle in the crowd without being easily spotted.

I saw it, and gasped, tracing my fingers across the lines. “This tattoo looks familiar… like I’ve seen it before.” He smiled smugly. “It’s not a tattoo. It’s a Sigil, burned into your skin. I have many more but that is preserved for when someone sees me naked.” I rolled my eyes at him. Who wants to even see him naked? “Why so many?” I asked. “Why would someone want to draw tattoos that much? Is it not painful?” “No, maybe, yes. For little girls like you, it might be.” The corner of his lips raised up.

“I wouldn't have believed that the first time we met, but now that I have seen most of your tattoos…” She slowly pushed up the sleeve of her cardigan, revealing her inked arm. “I thought I needed to get some ink on myself before and after having Nathan___some of them only tend to motivate me to keep pushing. Don't tell me you have got a boomer mindset that everyone who has a tattoo is a criminal?”

"It burns more than a regular tattoo, but it is not much worse. The question is, will it continue to burn and weaken the hand. It has not killed us, so I think that is good." Cade mind-linked me. "Yeah, maybe this was not thought out. What if this had killed us?" I laughed. He had a point. This was a stupid idea. But we both thought it was important to see if we could do tattoos. I know Cade wanted something to represent our pack on my skin. He already felt weird that I never broke my connection with Cresent Moon Pack. But he never asked me to break the connection. Since I was mated to him, I never needed to be joined into his pack as marking him, and him marking me connected me to his pack.

“Have you thought about getting a piercing? I see you with your nose pierced.” I smiled and shook my head, “No way. I would never.” “Oh, come on, I’m going for a new tattoo in a few weeks. Why don’t you join me?” He asked. “A tattoo parlor? I’ve never been to one before, but I don’t see myself getting a piercing or a tattoo.” I said and shook my head. “You can’t convince me of that.” “Okay, tattoos hurt and they don’t come off. They are permanent and you have to see them for the rest of your life.” He tells me and pointed a finger at me like he’s warning a small child. “Maybe you shouldn’t get one.”

Right where the whipping scar was visible before, only because Hardin hated it, he tattooed the spot. "You have a tattoo too?" Tessa's eyes are surprised by what she sees. Tribal tattoos are the most painful tattoos because of their intricate shapes and engravings. "You remember? I got a whipping when I was protecting you?" Hardin brings up the time Tessa was kidnapped. "I'm sorry I made you get the marks." Tessa's hand trembles as it touches Hardin's arm, even though the texture still feels like uneven skin.

The last time the tattoo had scabbed over, I had missed him too much and couldn’t find an excuse to come, so I had forcibly picked at the scab before it had healed. This was my third touch-up. It was also my self-directed and self-performed act of “playing the victim.” The comments drifted by right on cue: “I’m dead. Ask!” “You have no tattoos.” “That's not a question.” “Why?” “They're not really my style. I know others have them to show their dominance or to show they belong to a pack. But I’m sure you will agree that I don’t need them.” He points to his crimson eyes. “These are enough to show my position in the world.”
