It wasn’t anyone who I recognized from the past. Since he didn’t seem to notice or bother with me, I let it go. Even so, I wasn’t one-hundred percent sure that I was seeing the residual energy of a traveler and not a ghost. I didn’t even believe in ghosts until I saw Agatha. She’d appeared to me on that fateful night back in time when I’d discovered Vivian and Bart having sex in her bedroom just before Jason raped me. She’d glowed so brightly that it almost hurt my eyes. This man had no glow and had a grey hue to him.

How'd she end up in a coma?" I glanced at her, she bit down on her lips hard, then looked up at me.

Spotting amongst the classics a leather bound book with no title or author. I slowly open it and inside handwritten pages are revealed. May 12th 1998

I take one last look at myself until I strike a pose and say,"Perfect," I hear mom from downstairs telling me to hurry up, so I grab my book bag and put on my glasses and was about to leave my room until I remember my most important thing. I go to my book-shelf and pull out a book that reads, Gone Girl by Giliian Flynn on the front cover. I've always loved mysteries; I can't remember one day where I wasn't watching Criminal Minds or Goosebumps in my room.

I beamed. "Crazy, isn't it?" "Fucking crazy, for real." "First, we put THE DA VINCI CODE by DAN BROWN here." He picked out the book and inserted it in the center line of the shelf. He put HOW TO STOP TIME by MATT HAIG, followed by EVERGREEN by NAOMI HIRAHARA. "Then KISS THE GIRLS by JAMES PATTERSON." He put it next to the first book. "I've read that." I went on in a spur of excitement. "It's a thriller and mystery novel about a detective who's trying to track down a serial killer. So many twists and cliffhangers. Total page-turner." I giggled.

, Rachel grunts. I want to say "Why", but I don't want to risk sounding like a creep so I whatever her and go back to going through the rest of the shelf even though I'd done that a thousand times before. I drag my hands across the spines of the books; Kara Taylor's Prep School Confidential, Carol Wyer's The Secret Admirer, and Megan Goldin's The Night Swim. You would be subtle to call Rachel a crime-thriller addict - she's more of a crime freak. The Night Swim. There is a piece of paper sticking out of it. I pull it out of the book. Something is scribbled across it in Rachel's handwriting.

I go the book I am currently reading, it is murder mystery/ thriller, titled ‘As good as dead’ and it is very interesting and intriguing. It was about a girl about to go to college, she is Blake’s age and she had spent the past two years solving murder cases and now she is clearly traumatized since in the last book, she had a guy die in her arms. I am not far in, I just started it on the plane and I have had much time to finish the book.
