She tugged Thalia to the window to watch the rain fall into a little pool outside, where a few golden fish darted around happily.
She told Thalia they were rare, worth over a hundred grand each, shaking her head at how lavish the owner was.
Thalia leaned against the glass and sighed softly. "Over a hundred grand for one fish?"
She looked a little cute like that.
She was in her early 30s, a few years older than Evelyn, yet somehow they seemed the same age. Maybe it was her petite frame, paired with those dark, expressive eyes and her shoulder-length dark hair, that made her look so youthful and delicate.
