That's Calling The Kettle Black Novels & Stories

I think I’m having a problem with this kettle. And then I froze. Not because someone had caught me trying to activate the kettle, but because I recognized the voice. The effect it had on me was unmistakable. It took me back to the night I was in the bathtub, and I turned to face the source of the voice with a sly smile. "Having trouble with what?" I said casually, still rubbing my hand, trying to hide the discomfort. "The kettle," he said, his gaze drifting to the object in question. "You dropped it and frowned. It seems your hand is aching."

The scene of my brutal death in my previous life felt as vivid as ever. Just then, I received a call from my sister, Emma Anderson. The moment I answered, her anxious yet irritated voice blasted through the phone. "Anna, what are you dawdling for? Why aren't you here yet? Do you want me to freeze to death? Hurry up and get over here to open the door for me!" As I listened to Emma's arrogant remarks, the hatred in my chest nearly overflowed. I forced down my resentment and brushed her off. "I'm already at the entrance. I'll be right there."

' like seriously? 'No, you are not going to force anyone' Jack is just about to pull me when mr. Black's deep upset voice echoes in the hall. Phew! For once, I think I am thankful for Mr. Black's intrusion. At least, this can serve as a compensation for him being a total dick to me earlier this morning. 'In my office mr. Moore' Mr. Black says bossily and then turns back, probably going to his office with an annoyed expression. 'We are not done yet kitten.' Jack says with a victorious grin.

He grinned widely, facing Karina, who nodded in agreement. Sipping the last drop of his wine, Alpha Killan called for attention from everyone in there. Grabbing one of the wireless microphones, he called, "Attention everyone!" When a pin drop silence clouded the room, he cleared his throat, his orange eyes glowing under the purple lights, and asked, "If you were to find out that someone was selling your mate as a mistress to a rich man, what would you do?"

“The organization abides by one sacred rule. You kill the king, you become the king. Isn’t that right?” The room fell into a heavy silence. The seers’ tattoos burned brightly, their bodies convulsing as if caught between worlds. One by one, they dropped to their knees, their heads bowed low. Their voices rose in unison, trembling as they declared, “Yes, sir!” “Good,” Hound said, his voice softer now, but no less commanding. He turned his gaze toward Bleak, a cruel smile playing on his lips. “Now, what shall I do with you?”

I raised both my brows in a confused look. “Black power.” Hazel might be just superstitious, but I remembered my nanny telling me that some people used some kind of black power to attract men. But since I saw no scientific basis suppoting the belief, I did not believe it. “Why are you saying that?” “Because Mr. Grey can’t resist every time Miss Calla seduces him. I know he loves you, but…”

********************* Kendall’s POV Did I hear him? Kelvin killed himself. Fourteen years old. What kind of pups does Black Hill raise? Silver Knives, knowledge of suicide, these are not normal pups. He asked me to wait, I thought he needed to run up to get his Beta, but then I heard it. I had the phone to my ear when I hear the cry. Sam must of come downstairs. Sam saw his baby brother, and no wolf should have to make that noise.

Still, he looked so empty. The sight of both brothers made my chest ache. I'd been around them long enough to know that it was never a good idea to piss off both brothers at the same time. They were both different breeds of crazy. And breaking them would only unleash the madness hiding under their skin. Black Scorpion had unknowingly dug his own grave. And I was more than willing to help bury him. Just then Killian's phone rang. He didn't move. I reached for it instead, glancing at the screen. Adam. He was one of our deadliest foot soldiers. If he was calling now, it wasn't for pleasantries.

I could feel my wolf leaping and jumping for joy as I take each of the mother fuckers down, one after the other. I realized how much I had missed fighting off these mother fuckers and I was not going to rest till I had eliminated all of them from my pack. I looked at Black and dared him to come and fight me, I was waiting for him to come and fight me along with the few guards he had with him. But instead, he left through a side door, closely followed by his guards or men. Coward. I was about to go after them when I heard kyle call out through the mind link. She sounds very sad and I knew something serious was up,

Camella kept calling but Andre wouldn't answer his phone. She was thinking about what to do, to get Andre to answer his phone.
