“It’s pretty wild. You’re in for an interesting night.” Luna grabs another copy of the book from a nearby stack and hands it to me. “Here you go. This one’s a fresh copy, we have plenty. You’ll see why in a minute.” I take the book, glancing between them. “You’ve actually got extras? What kind of book club is this?” Lilly grins mischievously. “One that takes its material seriously. We didn’t just pick this one by chance. We’ve been swapping theories about it for weeks now. Everyone’s dying to hear your take.”

She doesn't even wait for me to get out before opening her door and standing tall, looking at the front of the club with curiosity. “You look disappointed.” She glances at me as if surprised I called her out for the emotion visible on her face and lifts a shoulder. “I expected more, I guess.” That seems like a reasonable enough response, and I know it in my head. Club Red may not look like much on the outside, but that is a dangerous stance to take because the club isn’t about what's going on at the facade, it's about what's happening within. “Always dangerous to judge a book by its cover.”

And then, because she had no idea what else to do — because her hands had to do something, anything, aside from shake — she reached for the shelf. Her fingers ran along the spine of a thin, worn-through book. She hesitated. It was one of her favorites — a still, painful story of finding hope again after loss. She drew it free slowly and held it out to him. Julian took it from her without looking at the cover, his fingers slowing to brush against hers. A jolt ran up Lena's arm. He leaned over her, his voice a low, menacing whisper. "I'll read anything you put in my hands."

He suggested. "Yeah, I think we should wait." He agreed, nodding his head."My reader, do you think Karen will agree to sire another pup when she comes back?" Let’s not forget the fact that the person who will be impregnating her is the same person who burned her kids in the past. Will she agree or will she not? Lucy said, trying to regain her composure. She opened her textbook to the first chapter. “I already read this book twice, I think it focuses on sacrifice. The male lead chooses his family over his own desires. It’s romantic, when you think of it. To be that loyal” Jonathan laughed out sarcastically. "Romantic? You actually think it’s romantic?" he asked, "It’s stupid. It’s not beautiful in anyway. He spends his entire life being miserable because he’s afraid to let his family down. That isn't loyalty, Lucy . That’s being a coward."

I'll be at my desk, she said, and made her way to leave, but Lena stopped her. Why don't we go out for a drink after our shift? There's this new club in town. It's a BDSM club. I went last weekend, and it was a blast. It might be exactly what you need to lift your spirits. Lena offered with a mischievous smile. Amara sighed and nodded. As he was walking away, the lady then asked him, “If you don’t mind… do you want to sit at the same table then.” “Are you sure? There are-” “No, I- I insist… Since this corner of the café is the best spot to read, I always sit here, I don’t mind sharing it with you.: “Ah sure, that spot was something I had my eye on since earlier.” Kayne replied. “AH, REALLY, let’s share it then!” Both were really awkward at each other at first but when they found out that both were reading the same book, they eventually got a comfortable to talk at each other.

The story was so vivid, so real, that she could feel the heat radiating from the page, smell the stale beer and cheap perfume of the club. She closed her eyes for a moment, letting the narrative wash over her. She was there, sitting in the booth, watching him. She felt the tension building, the air thick with unspoken words. She wanted to reach out, to touch him, to feel the same electric connection. The writer’s voice was hypnotic, a siren’s call that drew her in deeper. She was no longer just reading; she was experiencing. She was living the story. Her body began to react on its own accord.
