Jessica's gaze landed on Ryan. She was already drunk. And he looked so much like Michael when he was younger. She fell hard, right then and there. And she stayed fallen for five whole years. She had to act like nothing was wrong whenever she was with Michael, but she couldn't tear herself away from Ryan's comfort either. She tried to end it so many times. She just couldn't.

She covered her nose and walked back into the house, pointing the camera inside. "Look. Miles has turned the house into a landfill. "I want to bring him back too, but look at how filthy he is. How am I supposed to bring him home like this?" I felt terribly wronged and muttered stiffly, "I'm not filthy." What can a five-year-old do? I've been dead for five years, and you still don't know. "Let me see Brother's house! I want to see!" A bright, lively voice came from the video. An eight-year-old boy in a little suit appeared on the screen, looking like a small prince.

"I promise I'll change. I'll change everything. From now on, I'll treat you well. I've already warned everyone. No one will dare mistreat you again. And Elaine..." He paused, as if the mention of her had touched an old wound. "I'll keep my distance from her. I've really only ever seen her as a sister. She was always threatening to kill herself. I didn't dare take that chance." Then, his voice softened. "And..." The words came out thick and strained. "We can still have children. We can be a family. We can live happily together." I pushed him away. "This world doesn't work just because you decide it should. Julian, there is no chance of us getting back together."

We had the fire of the South, the wings of the East, the shadows of the West, and now, the crushing weight of the Deep. But as we breached the surface and saw the Mother-Hive island again, I saw the smoke on the horizon. The Architects had finished their re-calculations. The honeymoon was over, and the first wave of the "Erasure" was already hitting our shores.

I yelled, and tried to call out to him again when I heard no response, but the ground shook and the shockwave that followed slammed through my mind and body , and I let out a guttural cry. I stood in between time and space. Somewhere between the mind field and reality and I could see Elijah reaching for me. "kylie!" he cried, and stretched out his hand toward me. I tried to reach for him, but the shockwave came again, this time , more violent than the first, and pushed me into reality. It pushed against Elijah and Jason , and had them flying backwards. Thorne let out a cry, as he was not exempt from the shockwave's anger.

After they entered the fifth level, Rudy looked around and asked curiously, "This is the fifth level? Why isn't anything here? I don't even see anyone else." The fifth level was far too different from his expectations. It was not as loud as the first or second levels, and there were no grasslands like the third either. Instead, it was desolate. Whether it be the ground or the skies, it was completely white. It was so white that it was unsettling. Even if it was harder to get into the fifth level, there were a lot of them who passed and entered the fifth level. Strangely, they had not seen another person other than one another after they entered.
