Axel’s lips quirked into a ghost of a smile—gone in a flash, but Adeline caught it. "Did you just smile, Axel?" "It was just your imagination." "No, I saw it! You smiled... and your smile is actually quite handsome." Thump! Adeline went silent and returned to her porridge when Axel shot her a look of genuine annoyance for teasing him.

Adaline paused for a second, then smiled lightly. "Alright." She turned and made her way upstairs. Her room felt quieter now, slower. She sat on the bed for a moment, looking around, unsure of what to do with herself. She wasn't used to being idle, to having nothing to focus on. It felt strange. After a moment, she stood up again. Her steps were quieter this time as she made her way out of her room and down the hallway. She stopped in front of Ronan's study. Just for a second. Then she opened the door. The room was neat, organized, everything in its place. She stepped inside carefully, her gaze moving across the shelves until it landed on a novel.

John stood outside the sanatorium gates for a full four hours. Everyone who passed by would look at him curiously. I let out a long sigh. Just as I was about to go downstairs and settle things with him once and for all, Adaline suddenly appeared. Her hair was a mess. She had a jagged scar on her forehead that wasn't very nice to look at. One of her feet was bare and bleeding after getting scraped raw by the gravel. She left bloody footprints behind her.

Adeline smiles looking around at all of them, and says, “Hello, it is nice to meet you all.” All of them drink to the health of Lilia and Adeline and have a fun time catching up. As Adeline had been asleep for almost a century, there were so many things that had changed. They all have fun explaining to her the features, uses, and functions of different things like the television and mobile phones.

We are strong in other ways, however," she softly smiled.

Adaline smiled because she met people as good as them. “What is your name, Daughter, and where do you live?” Mrs. Miranda asked. “I'm Adaline Herbert, I live in urban Canada.”

Adeline apologized after greeting them. "There are no worries, you must have been pretty tired from your journey. let me introduce you.." her mother acknowledged and turned to her family introducing them respectively. "Adeline this is my husband, Rex Luther. You can call him Uncle." "Hello, Uncle. it's a pleasure to meet you." She greeted in a soft voice, as he smiled in response. "Nice to meet you too, Adeline." While her mother introduced the two kids; the young girl who looked around 16 years old was known as Madeline and the younger boy, Lucas. They were both her children.
