I knew enough to know what this signaled, and he was getting ready for one last final kill. Even after regaining my strength, I was still no match for the Alpha King. Alice was strong, but it was the first time we fought together in battle, plus, Hanson was Alpha — his strength was unparalleled for a young wolf like myself, no matter my bloodline. Throughout all of the chaos, Adam and Dean never failed to take their eyes off me and were never far from sight. They had been standing behind me the entire time. But Alpha King knew this. He doesn’t think his sons will turn against him. I’m not sure, either.

He read for several long minutes, his expression darkening with every page. "He calls this person the Architect," Kellan said finally. "No other name given. But look at the dates. This correspondence goes back further than the ledger did. Alaric was reporting to someone before Vex's rebellion even began." Marlowe felt a chill settle deep in her chest. "So Vex's rebellion wasn't just Alaric's doing either." "It's starting to look that way," Kellan said grimly. "Someone's been shaping this kingdom's history for far longer than any of us realized, using Alaric as the visible hand while staying hidden themselves."

The grounds are becoming cramped, and hygiene is turning into a bit of a problem. “King,” Drummond calls to me on the way back to the castle. Tired and cranky and not in the mood for anyone, I stop to talk to the Alpha anyway. “What’s up?” “The Alphas were talking.” “And you were chosen as the unfortunate spokesperson?” I ask, smiling at the wolf. “Yes--” he shuffles around and glances over his shoulder at the Alphas coming over to back him up --“we’re just wondering what your plans are. We’re just…camping out, doing nothing. Are we going to war any time soon?”

From the midst of the enemy ranks, the Alpha King himself emerged, his presence exuding a dark power that made the air around them feel heavy. “Isabella,” the Alpha King called out, his voice dripping with malice. “Hand over the relics, and I might spare your lives.” “Never!” Isabella shouted back, her voice echoing through the clearing. “These relics are the key to your downfall.” The Alpha King laughed, a chilling sound that sent shivers down her spine. “Then you’ve sealed your fate.” With a roar, the Alpha King’s forces charged. Isabella and her ex braced themselves, ready for the onslaught. The first wave of attackers hit like a tidal wave, swords clashing and snarls filling the air.

“Then perhaps you should start appreciating my good timing.” I had no patience for her games. “What do you want?” Her expression changed, she looked serious. “Rowan is gathering more than just Alphas.” A cold feeling settled “What does that mean?” She looked toward the mountains. “Some of the ancient rulers have answered his call.” Lucan frowned. “Ancient rulers?” Ilyas looked back at us. “Alpha Kings.” The courtyard fell silent. Even Orion stopped moving. But most wolves believed the Alpha Kings were nothing more than legends.

His powerful body still. ‘’But, what if instead of backing down, the rogues come back even stronger than they were before?’’ He questioned Rick. ‘’Let's just give it a try and see what happens. If it doesn’t work out, then we can start thinking of the next line of action. Or what do you think, My King? Does that make any sense?" ‘’Yes, Perfect sense. We will try that as soon as possible.’’ ‘’And the issue of Alpha Orion’s death which Mari let us in about earlier too…’’ The King spoke but Rick took over instantly like he had been waiting for him to bring it up a long time ago.

Three years later, in Crescora, I stood as the Luna Queen alongside my mate—the Alpha King, Caleb Findsor—presiding over The Grand Gathering of the Packs. Dressed in the silver-white robes of the royal house, I received the homage and reverence of the pack leaders from across the continent. My mind force now easily blanketed the entire royal city, soothing the surging emotions of tens of thousands of werewolves stirred by the celebration. I was no longer the she-wolf who needed a prophecy to define her, nor one who had to cling to an Alpha to survive.

When it disappeared, it left the same-looking crescent moon marks as clear as the ones we have. Aero and I exchanged glances, astonishment clear on our faces. The entire crowd immediately turned silent. Every eye shifted toward the front row. Toward the confrontation between the two Lycan lords. “Planned what?” Alpha Kingsley replied calmly, his tone completely nonchalant. “Don’t pretend!” Alpha Damien roared furiously. “You ordered your warriors to feign weakness so they could slaughter our warriors!” “And what evidence do you have to support your claims?” Alpha Kingsley asked calmly once more, completely unbothered by Alpha Damien’s rage. His composure only made Alpha Damien even angrier.

There is only one Alpha King when he comes to visit himself, doom is near. Alpha Alphonso is the Alpha King. His name alone is enough to make the strongest warriors and Alphas tremble.
