The Almighty Dragon General

The Almighty Dragon General

It was a massive city with towering palaces that were 10,000 meters high. James made his way there and arrived at the open field outside the city gate. The city wall was tall, and a few ancient words were engraved onto it. “Dead City.” James read the words. After seeing the words, James was slightly taken aback. The name was familiar to him. He immediately recalled seeing a city on Earth in the distant future. It was before the Apocalypse Age and before the seal on Earth was opened. The city was carried on the back of a colossal turtle and disappeared into the void.

This end is terrible. I strongly believe there is a volume 2 or part 2. I refuse to be left hanging and thinking of a million ways the whole thing played out. Patiently waiting for volume 2............

The secret city (Primogentius series Book 1)

The secret city (Primogentius series Book 1)

But I tore my attention away and checked the next on the pile. Primogentius; The creation, was slightly thicker with a picture of what I assumed was the original Primogentius and again I found myself eager to open the book and start reading. Primogentius; Requirements of a secret city apparently detailed all of the work that was required to keep the city running, the thick book was a lot less enticing, but I expected that it would answer a lot of my questions.

The mafia’s captive

The mafia’s captive

Their breath curled in the cold. “This place gives me hives,” Petrov muttered, fingering his blade. The ruins weren’t like any the world had seen. Arched hallways carved into blackened stone, ceilings laced with veins of glowing silver, and murals of things with too many eyes. Words etched into the walls pulsed faintly, reacting to their presence. “According to Malthea,” Vulture murmured, “this city predates all recorded history. It was part of the First Pact. The ones who fought the Hollow King the first time.”

BLOOD WAR

BLOOD WAR

She slowly walked toward the broken remains of the Last Bell. A small piece still remained untouched. A final fragment covered with symbols nobody had noticed before. She placed her hand over it. "The Bell keeps records." A weak light appeared. "It remembers every important soul that has ever walked this world." The fragment trembled. Images appeared in the air. Not illusions. Memories. The ancient city of the First Kingdom. But it was not ruined. It was beautiful. Golden towers reached toward a sky filled with stars. Rivers of silver water flowed between streets where people walked without fear.

The Haven Of Shadows

The Haven Of Shadows

“Why?” “Because I know that place.” His eyes met mine. “It wasn't an archive.” “What was it?” He looked toward the mountains. “A city.” The word hung between us. “An ancient city?” “No.” He shook his head. “The first city.” Before the factions divided. Before the histories became separate. Before the supernatural world forgot what it had been. A city where every bloodline had once lived together. And according to Asterion, it had not been destroyed. It had been hidden.

A Love Worth Fighting For

A Love Worth Fighting For

The fate of their world awaited them within those ancient walls. The air hung heavy with the scent of dust and decay as they stepped through the crumbling archway, the city’s entrance yawning before them like a forgotten maw. Giant, moss-covered stones, intricately carved with symbols Lyra recognized from the cavern murals, formed the walls, their surfaces slick with age and the relentless creep of vegetation. The city wasn’t merely ruined; it was actively reclaiming itself, nature’s relentless tide eroding the remnants of a once-proud civilization.

The golden compromise

The golden compromise

The kind of book that required patience and silence and the willingness to sit inside discomfort for extended periods. The kind of book a man reads alone. I put it back gently. Moved on. Near the window I found something interesting. A section on Stone City itself. Not many books. Six. Maybe seven. But they were there. Local histories. Urban development records. One thin volume that looked self published about the city's criminal architecture in the early years before it became what it was now. I pulled that one out. Read the back cover slowly. Names. Dates. Territories. The original families who had carved Stone City into pieces before the modern structure took over.
