Jenkins, the owner of the quaint bookshop where she had spent countless hours browsing through shelves and seeking advice on rare books. "Mrs. Jenkins?" Emma's voice trembled with confusion and a hint of betrayal. "But why? You're...you're the one who's been helping us." Mrs. Jenkins' smile grew wider, her eyes glinting with a sinister light. "Oh, Emma, dear Emma. You've been so blind. I've been playing a role, just like everyone else in this game. And you, my dear, are one of the most intriguing pieces on the board." Julian's eyes narrowed, his hand instinctively reaching for his gun. "You're the one who's been behind the organization? But why? What's your endgame?"

And she knew, deep down, that she was right. Something was coming. The "happy ending" wasn't the end of the book. It was just the end of the chapter. And the next page... the next page was blank. And terrifying.

He knew that doing this meant betraying Willow, so he kept it hidden from her. In the beginning, he still felt guilty, but as the happiness he gained from his affair grew, the happiness outweighed the guilt, and he chose the other woman. When all his lies fell apart, they had an ugly fight. They insulted and fought against each other so badly that their home no longer felt like one. In the end, they even swore that they would have nothing to do with each other anymore. They got a divorce last month. As the villainess of the story, my mother was insanely obsessive.
