Me and Axel and our beta Lex was sitting in my office going over everything detail of this attack for the 100th time none of it made sense. No one knew who Star was yet to us, and those rouges where unlike anything we had ever encountered. Axel had went down to talk to that rouge we had captured days ago when he literally dropped dead. Dr. Jane ran some test and she found magic was involved for sure but why would witches help out rouges. I slammed my fist into the desk making a hole. Axel and Lex both looked up at me seeing what I had done. “Will figure it out man, she’s out there if somthing happened even though you aren’t mated yet you would feel it.” Lex said as he stood up from my couch

“Ivy, stay behind me.” But I couldn’t even move. My stomach twisted. The child inside me kicked hard, as if reacting to the darkness. The ground split again. A single, deep pulse rolled through the valley. And then, the lake exploded upward. A wave of dark magic shot into the sky. The lights went out. The earth shook. And I whispered the only words that made sense: “Oh Goddess… it’s awakening.”

I felt alone and sometimes, I felt like I was cursed. Why hadn’t I discovered my wolf? What did I have to do to awaken it? Whenever other members of the pack go into the woods to shift, I always remain in my room. I spent the entire time crying and praying to the moon goddess. Sometimes, I acted like it didn’t bother me because I was tired of the unending sympathy from my family. But deep down, I wished things were different. Maybe it was the reason my father let me go without a care in the world. Maybe it was why he stripped me of my position as his rightful heir.

But even as I said it, I felt Maya through our connection, felt her struggling against something, being drawn north despite her will. "The Academy was never the target," Alaric continued conversationally. "It was the lure. Draw you here, split your forces, leave the real prize vulnerable." He looked at Nova with grandfather's pride. "She doesn't even know what she is. Raised by humans, taught to suppress instead of embrace. All that power, locked away until crisis breaks it free. Magnificent." Professor Aria moved her hands, weaving something I couldn't identify. Not phoenix fire, but old magic, Academy magic, the kind that bound and warded. Alaric noticed and smiled wider.

ELIAS’S POV I barely managed to seal the door above me before the weight of the Blood Moon crashed down. The underground cabin trembled softly, ancient runes along the stone walls igniting with a dull silver glow as the Blood moon fully rose. The air thickened with a strong sense of magic and every breath I took felt charged and electrified. I remembered the instructions I had read about the awakening ‘No restraints or barriers. The old Anna is dying." I spun around, grabbing Magnus by the collar of his robes, lifting him off his feet, slamming him against the nearest stone pillar. "Fix this," I growled, my fangs dropping, my vision tunneling into pure rage. "You know every piece of magic in this place. Tell me how to stop the transfer."
