CHAPTER 22 ARIA’S POV The silence in the ravine was thick enough to chew on. The adrenaline had faded, leaving behind the raw, aching truth of our situation. We were wounded, grieving, and Kaiden Blackthorn had just offered us sanctuary. Cera was the first to break. She limped forward, her face a mask of pale fury. "His fortress? You cannot be considering this." Her voice was a low, venomous whisper, but it carried in the still air.

Erica slipped into her role of the injured and wronged party as soon as Eden and her son stepped inside her parents' penthouse.
