Wait until the noise quiets, the dust settles, and two hearts find their way back… Not to the beginning. But to whatever comes next. Together. The End.

he said. "It's fine," I replied, not giving it a second thought. Zach got swept away by the crowd. This time, our paths would never cross again. Those dark, painful memories would stay buried forever. I was ready to start a new life. Wade picked up my suitcase, dusted it off, and asked, "Want to walk around campus later and try something good to eat?" I pinched his cheek with a smile. "Sure, Wade."

Ariana smiled. Faint. Dangerous. “We’ll see.” The shadows moved suddenly— Closer. Faster. The space tightening around her. Trying to contain her. But Ariana didn’t step back. Didn’t panic. Because now— She understood something. Something they didn’t want her to see. “You said this is where everything ends.” Her voice cut through the noise. “But endings…” She looked at them. Each one. One by one. “…always have a beginning.” Silence.

Stories did not end the way we thought they would. They did not stop at the final page. They did not close with a single moment. Because sometimes— The real story— Was everything that came after. And ours was only just beginning.

Rhyne asked. Her eyes shifted to the stillness ahead again. “For what comes next.” That answer troubled Kael more than the others, not because it was unclear, but because it implied movement. Not of bodies. Not yet. Something larger. Something already in motion beyond this place. “Then this isn’t the end of it.” “No,” Aera said softly. “This is where it begins.” The words settled into all three of them differently. Rhyne heard risk. Kael heard inevitability.

The scorched earth was quiet. But it was not empty. Not yet.

Could unify. Beginning proved it. Beginning demonstrated it. Beginning was it. And that was enough. And that was everything. And that was exactly right. Beginning existed. Hope's legacy endured. The story continued. Forever. Always. Beautifully. Beginning was here. And beginning was beautiful. And beginning was exactly right. The story continued. Forever. Always. Eternally. Beginning was here. And that was perfect. END OF CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND ONE And so the story continues, forever evolving, forever beginning anew...

"I wanted to say it differently than I have been saying it." "Tell me how it is different," he says. "Before it was the love at the end of something," I say. "The end of the affair, the discovery, the divorce, and the legal proceedings. The love that stood on the other side of everything." I pause. "This is the love at the beginning of something. The wedding and the second studio and the class action and the forty-three letters and whatever box seven says." I pause again. "The love that is here for what comes next. Not just what came before."
