It has never been my goal to impress my sister with anything I do. I scroll through the books in the library until I come to my favourite section, Mystery. I always love the thrill that comes with not knowing what's going to happen next. You can make it more interesting for yourself if you start to wonder what is happening and what will happen. I take a few glances through the books on the shelves and take a book that looks the most interesting out of all the books I saw. 'In the Woods' by Tana French.

I fell asleep after several minutes. The next day, I decided to head into a few stores with Jenny. Just to get away from the mansion and have some great company. Something to distract myself from the troubles inside my brain. Jenny and I headed into a book store and we looked around. We both enjoyed reading all sorts of books. Reading something can make you forget about the world around you for a moment and some books can even make you feel like you’re in whatever world is created inside the book. The teacher scolds us both, but all I can hear and see is his smile. He fixed me, he’s my serotonin, my very own drug. My feeling for him feels illegal, but he’ll still be my favorite crime. “Mr. Alex Sheperd and Mr. Conan Gray, this is not the time for chit chatting, now answer my question or you’ll meet the principal. “ We faced each other with a smile on our faces. We grabbed our bags and willingly took our punishment. This shocked our professor as he stopped talking until we left the room. We didn’t answer his question, it’s not like we could answer it anyway.

I saw every group of friends talking to each other and giggling. Opening my locker, I put my extra books inside and only grabbed my notebooks with an assignment. As I was closing my locker, I heard three familiar voices pass by me. "You got A+ again in Math Brenia!" I heard Dania exclaim, as they approach their lockers. "And you fail again in your English literature? Care to explain Dania?" I heard Brenia reply as I peek at what they are doing.

As I flipped to the next page, I took a sip of coffee and continued reading, almost reaching the end of the page, I heard footsteps coming from the hallway, I gaze at the door and then back to the book. My expression changed after I read a paragraph. The number one thing I love about mystery novels is that they always come with unexpected twists. I was about to flip to the next page when I heard fast footsteps from the hallway. "What is Jess doing?" I whispered, shrugging back to continue reading the book. As I heard my door crack open, I turned around and looked in its direction, it looked like the wind blew. I looked back at the book while taking the last sip of coffee, I marked the page I

"You like that, don't you? Ah, but I knew you would " His mouth slid down her throat. Heat splintered all through her, even as her mind baulked. No, she thought hazily. He had touched her there. But surely he would not…. She could only watch in mingled shock and fascination as his dark head hovered over her breast. Never had she dreamed he might kiss her there? As if in anticipation, her nipples peaked and hardened, as his mouth touched the quivering tip, she gasped. "Dan, what…. What do you do?"

The rest of the day seems boring so, I decided to read a book. "Let's see what I got here? I started looking for a storybook that will get my attention. Nope. Not this one. Yes finally found you " Sherlock Holmes. My favorite detective of all time. This book always inspired me to write a mystery novel. I tried many times, but nothing came to my mind. So I decided to give a break and concentrate on other things. I was a very very big fan of mystery and detective novels than romance and action. "If I started reading now, then I can finish this entire book by evening. The stories looked really interesting." I thought while flipping the pages.

I smiled and brought out a new novel I got from the store the other day and opened the first chapter to read. There are like ten minutes before assembly starts so I can read at least a chapter or two before it starts. ‘Hmm… interesting’ i thought to myself. “Why didn't I know about this book already?” I muttered under my breath and turned to the next page. “Very interesting.” “I know it is,” I turned my head to see Chris put his bag on the desk beside me and sat down on the chair. “Even though I haven't read it, I know it is interesting”

"Any favorites?" "There's this series about ancient pack wars that's surprisingly well-researched. And I have a weakness for detective novels, though don't tell Carson. He thinks they're a waste of time, but I once caught him reading one and he was too focused on it to even know I was standing in the same room as he was." "Your secret's safe with me, maybe he just doesnt want to admit how good it is." She grinned. "I love mysteries too. Have you read the Inspector Blackwood series?"
