Another moment of silence stretches between us then I remember something else. “Actually, since you want a reason so bad, I think I have one.” He smirks. “Okay, let’s hear it.” I run my eyes over him, taking note of how excited he is to hear that. “So a little birdie told me something about him… about you being known as the shadow. The one who helps omegas escape the haunting life that has been plagued on them. Is this true?” He stares at me long and hard before replying. “If I tell you, will you run to my brother and report me? Will you have him put my head on his spike?”
