Sophie:The broken Mistress

Sophie:The broken Mistress

The bird song Her voice was fragile and tentative at first, breaking off as if testing the murkiness of the water she was about to swim through. echoed off the trees, bounced off the leaves, and came back to her. She saw the bird then, beautiful, graceful, and white, guiding her through the process of reverberating with the weight of her pain. Each note was a whisper, a plea for release from the prison of her silence.

Alpha Linked

The fence is crap down here, all broken and battered, and nature’s suffering, yet again, for humanity’s dumbfuck ignorance. Even in boots I can move quietly when I need to. I’m slow and steady, making sure I talk to the bird real softly as I make my way over. He flaps hard but he can’t go anywhere. His eyes don’t leave mine at all, and when I get there he caws at me but doesn’t freak out like I thought he might. His feathers are muddy and trashed. His leg looks sore where the wire’s cut him, but it seems like he can still move it.

"I hate birds too, but actually threw a fry to one this morning. I think of it as my first steps toward peace." I laughed through my tears. "Well, you've officially shocked me. I never thought I'd see the day where Demetri Daniels would run on purpose or actually get close enough to a bird to feed it." He knelt on the ground next to me. "It was a really small bird, pretty sure it had a broken wing, I would have kicked its ass in a fight." A smile tugged my lips, "You're making yourself sound worse, you get that right?" He shrugged and sat down in the wet sand next to me. "So, you thinking about going out there?"

The Pack's Girl

The Pack's Girl

They eyed her and Vanquish’s green eyes narrowed on her in a way that told me, she’d be howling for us soon enough. *** We trudged through the trees up the grassy hill. We clambered back into our clothes. Still half-dizzy with the effects of our pleasure. Vanquish hauled Marta up and she screamed as her arm bumped limply along his hip. It’s broken. Sunlight peered through the green treetops and birds were high up in the trees. I glanced at them singing cheerfully but one caught my eye. A bird of such a rich red that it stuck out amidst the green leaves like a blotch of blood in snow.

Bewitching The Deadly Vampire

Bewitching The Deadly Vampire

The little boy ran back to them bringing a dead bird in the palm of his hands. “Mama, dead bird. Help,” he said looking at his mother with his doe-eyed blood-red eyes. He sat on the blanket and laid it in front of his mother's lap. “Oh, Rune, you’ve found a bird.” She said examining the bird on her lap. One of its wings where broken, so Adrienne placed it on her left palm, and using her right hand, she mended its broken wing. “Now, you can let the bird fly back into the sky, Rune.”

Bound By A Broken Night

Bound By A Broken Night

dad spoke again, and his words struck like arrows, piercing straight through my already bruised heart. Each syllable drove deeper, and it shattered the last fragile piece of hope I had been clinging to. Without hesitation, they all turned away from me. No second glance. No doubt. No mercy. I remained where I was, unmoving, frozen in place. And in that moment—something inside me broke beyond repair. In that moment, I died inside. ****tbc****

Seven Years Broken

Seven Years Broken

"I know I deserve to die, but I still want to ask you not to hate me. Okay? I don’t want to carry your hatred with me." I looked at her tear-streaked face, then slowly stood, brushing off my sleeve. "Time’s up. No one will mention you again." She froze. As I turned to leave, she suddenly slammed her hands against the glass, frantic. The guards rushed forward and restrained her. She struggled, trying to catch one last glimpse of me. I didn’t look back. The next day, I didn’t follow the news of her execution. I went to work like usual. At lunchtime, my secretary approached carefully. "Mr. Graham, the prison just sent notice. Deanna’s sentence has been carried out."

My Fireheart

My Fireheart

Sad he thinks the egg is breaking, but a new crack is heard and a golden beak pierces the shell. The two traveling companions look at the egg in fascination as the creature slowly destroys the egg's shell and breaks free. Unlike other birds that are born helpless, she, despite being small, was born to fly. Her feathers glowed and they were delighted to see the little phoenix's movements, which gave the illusion of hovering flames. The animal lands on Lucifron's shoulder and sings a melody that will move the hardest hearts. - I think she wants the berries. – Sophia says – there are not enough for both of us. Give them to the strange bird.

Worthless to Priceless: The Alpha's Rejected Mate

Worthless to Priceless: The Alpha's Rejected Mate

“I wonder what type of bird you are.” My loneliness must have been worse than I anticipated because that can be the only reason why I am communicating with a bird like it understands me. I broke off another piece and handed it to the bird. Its large beady eyes assessed me and it pecked my hand softly then flew back to the roof. I smiled to myself because I have never touched a bird before and I wanted to do it again. I knew I should be driving but I figured that I deserved a little break. I was already out of my pack and I know the worst I will encounter might be a bear or a wild animal but most of them generally avoid us because they can sense that we are prey.

Please since this is probably the end of this book just take a week and finish it. you can be always write a sequel. but don’t leave your readers hanging a chapter at a time. I usually follow authors that i read but if you’re doing g this with all your books I will think twice. ps love this story.

This was such an amazingly interesting story. Right up until the end. Did you get tired of writing it? Were you unsure of where else the story was headed? I feel like things were going great and then <BAM!> brick wall. Epilogue… the end. So many loose ends left unanswered. Loved it regardless.
