The World isn't as Ugly nor Beautiful as You Think

The World isn't as Ugly nor Beautiful as You Think

Typical library for sure. ßenlong then walks slowly staying vigilant as he is aware of the guardian of this floor will come out and give them a surprise attack. Alfi looks at his surroundings and he feels familiar with the back of the books arranged on the bookshelves he passed. As he is curious, he gets off from ßenlong and approaches one bookshelf in front of him. He then takes a book with red back. And his prejudice is right. “I... It’s...” He is shivering by looking at the cover of the book.

Black Claw: Bound by Fate

Black Claw: Bound by Fate

The triplets, she heard, were drafting a code that could spoof the gridded perimeter, allowing for temporary, glorious lapses in surveillance. It was the book that changed everything. Finch smuggled it into the yard during a midshift riot. Elena felt its impossible weight, the roughness of its cover, the crisp drag of a page between fingers. The mothers gathered in her room, trembling, as Elena read aloud from the first chapter: “There is no such thing as a finished city.”

The Alpha Can't Sense His Mate!

The Alpha Can't Sense His Mate!

I walked towards the shelf and squatted. With a click sound, I opened the hidden drawer on the last shelf and dragged out a dusty blue book - The real ancient witch’s book. “You said the book was missing,” Athaliah sneered, impatience rolled off her in bouts. “I set a trap just in case Ithra had other things up her sleeve. I got her in here and dangled the bait in her eyes.” I cleared my throat. “Eventually, she fell for it. But that’s beside the point. I picked up the fake version of the book in the woods on my way from picking herbs. Someone got a little angry at the lack of results and burned a part of it.”

Tiffany walked up to me and glanced at the book in awe. I opened it and it was just as magnificent as I had imagined. "I had no faith that you would get this book. How did you pull this off." Zeph had stopped panting and he rose to his feet. "The spy I told you about, that had been following Miss Recce, turned out to be an unlikely ally. She stole the book for me and in return, I helped her poison Miss Recce." "Really? And did this ally follow you here? I would certainly like to meet him."

Antonina
the book is really nice, but Bailey is so immature and annoying, her actions in the last chapters just put me off so much, it’s like she makes me not want to read any further. Gray deserves way better.
JC..
I would love to read the (or a) chapter where Bailey first discovers that Grey is her mate. I don’t know if you intended to skip that part of the story or if it is a hiccup in the way chapters are loaded.

The Life She Stole

The Life She Stole

I ditched the pickaxe, looking for anything else to use, but in my frenzy, I stumbled and ended up on the floor. The footsteps behind me were getting louder. A cold sweat drenched my back as I curled up, cornered and powerless. The pitch-black cellar had me spouting anything that came to mind, a last-ditch plea. "Please, mister, have mercy! I can pay you—ten, twenty thousand dollars. Just let me go, and I'll owe you big time, even in my next life!" "You've been slaving away for twenty years already, isn't that enough? You want to keep it up in your next life too?"

The Alpha Triplets’ Scorned Mate

The Alpha Triplets’ Scorned Mate

He snapped the book shut with a loud thud and strode toward me. “Don’t lie to me,” he said, his voice low and venomous as he stopped just inches from me. His towering frame made me feel smaller than I already did. “I know you’ve read this book. I’ve seen you sneaking books out of the mansion library. You think I don’t notice?” My breath hitched as my mind scrambled for a response. “I… I wasn’t—” “Enough,” he growled, cutting me off. “Do you think I’m a fool, Kira? That I wouldn’t catch on to your little hobby of stealing books? Do you know what that makes you? A thief. Just like your traitor parents.”

Rejected By The Ruthless Omega's Mate

Rejected By The Ruthless Omega's Mate

All seven guards had arrived at the scene, wearing very long faces. "How did she get her hands on this book?" The other one asked before turning to me. "You're a thief, aren't you?" "Thief? No, not at all, " I answered, quite surprised that they'll think that of me. I had never stolen anything all my life and I didn't plan to do so. Sadly, they didn't know me. All they could see was a lowly peasant who would do anything to survive. "Liar!"

Luna’s Second Chance

Luna’s Second Chance

“You still got time to change your mind.” I shook my head. “No. I don’t.” He nodded like he already knew I’d say that. Minutes stretched into miles. The city fell away, swallowed by dark roads and towering trees. The deeper we went, the heavier the air felt. Like something was watching. Like the land itself knew what I was. I glanced at him. “Where’s the book?” Elijah exhaled through his nose, then reached into the glove compartment, pulling it out. The Book of the White Wolf.

Zeus - The Alpha of Hatred

Zeus - The Alpha of Hatred

A single book lied there, cursive golden letters danced on its black leather spine. "The Forbidden Creatures of the Night," I murmured. Pushing off the back shelf, I stood on my tiptoes and reached for it. A few inches of gap. Holding the wood of the shelf with my bandaged hand, I tried again and harder. Come on, a little more. Almost there. Another arm wrapped in a dark sleeve, reached over and grabbed the book. I whisked around, gasping, my back colliding against the shelf. "P-Professor!" He regarded the book with distaste. "This belongs to the literary section."

Captive in the Dark by my Ex-husband

His tanned skin contrasted with his orange shirt. "Good morning, Ma'am. You look so beautiful in the morning." His eyes almost disappeared because of his wide smile. "Morning." I smiled a bit. I went to the bench and sat there. I opened the book that I found at the library. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I glanced at Sandro when he sat beside me. I just smiled at him before dropping my gaze on the book. "I did not know that you love reading," he commented. "Yup," I responded, eyes remained on the book.
