Jilted Heiress Strikes Back
Briar was a deep thinker, so the less Raina said about it, the more it weighed on his mind.
Sure enough, after a quiet breath, Briar pulled the topic back to the ginger soup she didn’t want to talk about.
He said, “The ginger soup.”
Raina took another sip of tea, shook her head with a bit of helplessness, and said, “Senior, you’re really something... I’ve been trying not to bring it up. Why do you have to keep dragging it back?”
Why he insisted on it, Raina knew all too well.
Briar was always tight-lipped and serious in front of others, but with her, he was like an innocent, clueless boy — unable to hide even a speck of dust in his eyes or a secret in his heart.
