Janice asked. "I don't have the confidence, Nice," Brienne replied. "You have me, Bree. I promise I won't leave you, okay? Now let's go out. You deserve this night," Janice said, smiling gently at her. Feeling more at ease, Brienne nodded. She got out of the car and took a deep breath. It wasn't her first time clubbing, but it was definitely her first time wearing such a skimpy dress. Janice escorted her friend into the club. The loud booming sound greeted them. The smell of alcohol was everywhere, and people danced happily on the dance floor.

I'm running the microfiber cloth along the spines when my elbow accidentally bumps against a thick volume of Russian poetry. The book depresses like a button. I got out and saw no sight of Bram around. I walked fast, back toward the main floor, eyes scanning the crowd. Still no Bram. Where the hell was he? Wasn’t he supposed to be glued to my side. I couldn’t take a piss without his eyes on me back at the safehouse. But now? Vanished. I circled the club once. Nothing. He wasn’t at the bar. Not in the booths. Not by the front. Not even lurking near the bouncers like the stiff bastard he was.

Desmond POV The second Brielle disappeared into the alley with Mirren, a breath escaped me I hadn’t even realized I was holding. For the moment, at least, she was safe. But whoever had dared send those men into that club… they had made a mistake. A fatal one. I turned back through the service door, moving low, gun raised. The thumping bass had died with the gunfire, replaced now by the echo of sirens somewhere in the distance and the quiet sobs of people too shaken to move.

And as we step out of the car, moving toward the club’s entrance, I realize— I like the feeling. Inside, the club hums with low music, the air thick with cigarette smoke and the kind of tension that makes my skin crawl. Owen leads the way, slipping through the crowd. Levi and I follow, keeping to the shadows. It doesn’t take long to find Briggs. He’s in the VIP section, surrounded by expensive liquor and two women who look *bored* out of their minds. We pushed through some more glass doors and stepped outside suddenly my ears was filled with the sound of music and laughter.A gush of warm breeze brushed my bare skin and my mouth fell a little on one side.the light of the city twinkle around us only blocked by one side of the hotel that tower us. There were pillars put up sporadically with little lanterns hanging from them,emitting a soft glow.It was really beautiful.The sun also was setting now and i could only imagine what the view will be like when it's completely dark in the sky.

If this was a silly w*****d romance, the protagonist would find this hot. But this wasn’t hot. It was downright terrifying. Cristo was terrifying and I wished to know what line had Blair crossed to bring this upon us all. I watched in awe and alarm as he marched around the desk to Blair and towered over her.
