My wolf is pushing for control and she runs. He forces the shift and so does Atticus. We chase after her. I run through the forest and stop in front of her. Her eyes are wide and she is like a deer caught in headlights. I growl at her and she is terrified. Atticus comes to my side and he whines. She looks between the two of us. Her fight or flight has kicked in, but she is rooted to the spot. Her breathing is laboured. She frantically looks between us, she screams. I have no choice but to shift back.

Alistair waited patiently as she made her way back down the tree, leaping the last ten feet to the ground.

The wolves slammed against the sides of the carriage. I could hear the guards crying out and the sound of the steam engine creaking and sputtering as we toppled over. The wolves howled and circled the carriage. I felt it hit the ground and skid as if we were on the edge of a cliff.

“Are you guys ready to finally do as we were formed to do?” My eyes glared at Callighan as he lifted his head up to the sky. Once that loud howl came from him, we all prepared ourselves as the wolves charged at us altogether. All we could do was fight to our hearts desire. Paul replies and hangs up. Leaving my car at the airport, I run to the woods. Once I'm past the tree line, I shift mid-air, jumping over a log. I plant my paws on the ground and let out a howl. I turn my head to see my pack coming through the trees. I give them a look, and I run towards Chloe's scent with my pack right on my heels. Chloe's POV

He jumped down, turning to follow the pack. Chloe couldn't pull her eyes from him. He loped easily across the snowy yard, his paws barely touching the ground. Guided by her intuition, she followed the invisible thread that led her to a secluded part of the forest. There, amidst the dense foliage, she discovered a sight that both captivated and saddened her. A lone wolf, fierce and untamed, roamed with a restless energy. The creature's coat which must have been once vibrant and sleek, was now matted and unkempt. Its eyes, once filled with life, held a haunting glimmer of enormous pain.
