The Chamber Romane & Geschichten

The Council Chamber of the Institute smelled like marble dust and old power. It was a hybrid space—half hospital boardroom, half ancient pack hall—glass walls looking out over the city, a crescent of elevated seats for the Elders, and a central floor ringed with wolfsbane wards. Human administrators hovered along the back wall, pretending not to flinch every time a wolf’s temper brushed the surface.

The ceiling was open as moonlight poured directly into the chamber from above. The silver light gloomed over everything, casting a soft glow… The floor was covered in glowing runes. This looked like some sort of ritual circle..? The designs on the runes, the glowing lights…it looked beautiful and terrifying at the same time. Selene walked up beside me. “This is the Moon Chamber.” The moon chamber..? Huh? I swallowed down a hard lump and asked.. “What do I do?” “Well. Simple..shift.” Shift and simple in the same sentence…thay didn’t seem right.

"The card." Dominic inserted it. The lock clicked. The heavy doors slowly opened. A blast of cold air swept over them. The Final Chamber was brighter than before. The circular glass room glowed with a pale blue light. At the center stood the two synchronization chairs. Cables hung from the ceiling like veins. The fourth and final node pulsed above the central console. And beside it. Alexander. Calm. Elegant. Untouched by chaos. Her father knelt beside him, hands restrained.

The room was ancient and one of the first meeting places of the packs. There was a hole in the center of the room. A single rod and rail announced the presence of a staircase that led deep beneath the floor. Few had seen the chamber of the elders. To say I was anxious would be an understatement. I was practically vibrating off the stone floor with excitement and fear.

[VAMPIRE PALACE CHAMBER] The grand chamber of the palace is adorned with opulent tapestries, glistening chandeliers, and elegant furniture. The air is filled with an aura of regality as princess Rancel stands at the center of the room, a crown adorning her head. She is a woman of grace and authority, her presence commanding the attention of all who enter. The Vampire queen, her mother, a distinguished and dignified woman, approaches her daughter. Rancel, a young and inexperienced princess, stands nearby, wearing a mix of nervousness and curiosity on her face.

Scarred. She opened it. Evelyn stepped through before fear could root her in place. Inside… was a room. Not luxurious. Not beautiful. It was dimly lit by a single bulb swinging slowly from the ceiling. The walls were white and empty. No furniture. No window. And in the center of the room — a single chair. Metal. Bolted to the floor. Evelyn’s breath caught. She stepped back, suddenly unsure. The woman behind her didn’t move, didn’t speak.

She chuckled. The man nodded in return and left the elevator when it stopped on the thirteenth floor, while Desiree remained inside until she reached the eighteenth floor and then stepped out of it. Everybody on the floor was engrossed in their work. As she stepped forward, a woman came to ask her if she was one of the interviewees and then led her to a waiting area. Sitting beside a guy of her age, she began tapping her feet on the marbled floor. Almost ten minutes had passed when suddenly, havoc emerged on the floor. Everybody started rushing to and fro, reorganizing things and settling at their desks.

She slipped into the passenger seat, tense as they entire car ride to the party was filled with deafening silence. Jackson took a small swig of his drink, the alcohol pooling over his tongue with sharp delight as he stood off in the corner of the banquet hall. The lights dim as researchers, executives and guests alike filled the room with relative ease. Jackson had to admit, the place was cushy, and quite big for a firm.

We can feel the power emanating from them, and we know that we must be careful not to disturb them. Inside the temple, we find ourselves in a large chamber with high ceilings, the air thick with the stench of decay and death. In the center of the room, we see a massive altar draped in black cloth and adorned with various weapons and artifacts. The room is illuminated by flickering torchlight, casting eerie shadows that dance across the walls. As we make our way through the chamber, we can hear whispers and murmurs coming from the shadows. We know that we're not alone, and we prepare ourselves for the possibility of a fight.

However, the trip to the chamber is short, and in no time, we find ourselves facing a chamber made of glass. It’s light blue in color, and every side of the chamber was made from this crystal material that looks like glass, and it reflects the slight light that enters the chamber, which has a tall ceiling with a hole in the middle. The hole opens up to the evening sky, which I realize had become significantly darker than when we were walking to the Temple.
