The Cozy Book Nook Novels & Stories

I took my favorite book off, Her Forbidden Alpha, grabbed my blanket, and sat on my bay of window. When I looked for a flat, the only demand I had was that I need a nook for myself. I saw many apartments, but neither felt cozy. They were built for businessmen or successful women. I wasn't either. I just wanted something that felt homey... In this little town was my last chance. I didn't really hope I would find something. But when I saw it, I knew this little gallery waited for me.

There was also a small but well-equipped gym, which was a little further away from the library, in order to keep it a quiet and peaceful area – as quiet as a house full of wolves could be, anyway. It was a room constructed mainly of windows, and warm white and dark wood stretching across the floor and up the walls. Towering bookcases rested between each of the ground-to-ceiling windows, creating cosy nooks between them. Each of these had a small window seat and a soft lamp, with a view out onto the expansive lawns outside.

The walk to the bookstore was shorter than she expected. Nestled between two larger buildings, its faded sign read "Willow’s Nook.” A small bell chimed as they stepped inside, and the scent of old paper and polished wood greeted them. The librarian was a small lady with a bob cut and cat eyed glasses, probably in her fifties. The space was cozy, with narrow aisles lined with overflowing shelves and dim lamps casting a warm glow. It felt like stepping into another world, one untouched by time.

Above it was a headboard covered with a buttery soft velvet fabric. In one corner of the room, there was a cozy reading corner, complete with a comfortable armchair and matching stool. The armchair is upholstered in a soft chenille fabric, and the footstool is upholstered in luxurious faux fur, making it the perfect place to curl up with a good book or a cup of tea. Who designed this incredibly cozy room? "The young master said that the empty side would be for your baby box," Bella pointed to the empty corner on the other side.

The place smells like paper and book glue, which invites me in. Walking across the room, I see all sorts of cozy places to curl up with a book—Nellie was right. The seating options are endless, some by fireplaces, others near windows with lovely outside views, and I can’t picture a more amazing place could ever exist. I see the ladder that leads up to the loft. I can only imagine how amazing that place must be based on how the rest of the room charms me. I don’t sense that Kane is here just yet, but I have to think he must be coming soon.

She walked into the cabin and felt its cozy warmth wrap around her like a soft, plush blanket. A low fire crackled in the stone hearth, plush rugs adorned the floorboards, and a patchwork quilt was draped over the back of the sofa. Shelves of dog-eared books and mismatched trinkets crowded one wall, while a wooden table carried a scattering of mugs and a half-knitted scarf. She felt her heart bloom with a quiet, radiant joy. The girl glanced at Nate, who watched her in silence, committing every flicker of emotion that passed across her face to his memory.

As I perused the books, I could feel Aidan’s gaze on me. The shop, much like the one downstairs, boasted an impressive selection. These were books to be enjoyed in the coffee lounge, not purchased or taken home. A smile tugged at my lips as I reached the romance novel section. So, Well Thumbed had these too. I wondered if they had hidden gems, perhaps something I hadn’t read or that Uncle Alex’s book club, Bound To Please, hadn’t discovered yet.

Well... More like reading it to me, because Zoey mainly played with her magnetic blocks. Danny had set it up the beanbag right in the middle of Zoey’s reading nook and hung a cute canopy around it, making it look so cozy. I finished it off by placing jumbo pillows that were extra fluffy and some of her bears.
